I would vote for Doug Armstrong for getting Broberg and Holloway for a second and athird.

He's done a nice job in St Louis, and it's great they are going to the playoffs, so now they draft later so good for us. Are they cup contenders probably not and he did snag 2 i guess decent players from the Oilers. In time we'll see who has more skins on the wall. In time we'll see which team will have lasting success, my guess is the team with a ton of draft capital and young players.

We are seeing an end to an era, Boston, Pittsburgh, Rangers, Nashville

Vancouver one and done and man they remind of the old Cubs, all the dysfunction within the org this year.

Kings vs Edmonton again, i think they'll be writing the same story about the Kings as they did the Rangers

Good on the Habs and Senators getting in.

Thompson looking pretty good out there, hoping rumor about him not signing is not accurate.

Can’t wait for a real coach. Idk who but can’t wait.

You put Bedard line out with the 3rd pairing D. Crevier and KK.

No one can complete a pass. Line roulette continues. Who needs that pesky thing called chemistry.

If Bedard did what Pastrnak did he'd be called for goalie interference

He's got an interesting decision to make. Already 23 and CHI holds his rights until August 2026. Could go back for one more year and then see what his options are next summer (including going to another team in August); but he would be 24 already and almost past prospect age.

If he signs he will be in the AHL with a lot of other CHI forward prospects and more on the way (Boisver, Vanacker, Kantserov, etc. coming in 2026). Guttman is an older prospect and is buried there.

I think he might sign if he can burn a year off his ELC. That way he can get pro experience and then get to RFA faster.

If you follow Al, his theme is that the Hawks coaching at both the NHL level and at Rockford have been substandard since Q left.

His thing is that the Hawks have not proven they can develop young talent, so it doesn't matter how good your talent coming in, if you can't develop your pllayers.

- LAHawk

Yeah I’d agree with that previously but not currently. I like Al but think he’s completely off there.

Under Ted Dent they developed almost no one but I think EDM, Crevier, Allen, Kaiser, Slaggert, Nazar might prove him a bit wrong.

Edit - Oh sorry…Vlasic too.

Like I said Al’s a decent guy but he resisted me on the idea that Andrew Shaw couldn’t play the role of The Mule for the Wings as being a net front presence cause he wasn’t a big guy.

Different players but Shaw was absolutley a net front presence. Sorry Al.

I think one of my favorite moments tonight was Rinzel skating 1 vs 4 into the ozone and not one Bruins player touched him, oh then put a shot on goal which ended up being Donatos 30th goal.

At the end of the game Nazar and Moore on the PK, damn that'll be fun in the future

For being stick beaten all night by the Bruins, nice game and goal by KK.

They play so much faster with the youth in the lineup right now. Even when it’s sloppy it’s still hair on fire fast.

Now the Hawks can skate the puck up ice from the backend. Teams just smother our forwards. Leaves so much room for our D to pick up speed and carry the puck through center ice and into the ozone.

Lev and Rinzel have been skating with the puck and making plays with it deep in the ozone. Kaiser as well at times.

So much better than the first 1/2 the season or so where it was mostly slow vets that tried half the time.

Korchinski looks like a forward trying to figure out how to play defense. I'm hoping he turns into Duncan Keith 2.0, but it's looking more like David Runblad.

I keep saying the most important acquisition is the head coach, that can capitalize on the team speed, but within a structure.

You think so, i think he's way better in his own end this year, i just think he's still too weak to be in the NHL. Hell they even have him on the PK.
Seriously he was stick beaten all game.

I know I'm against the grain but I'd rather have Crevier on the ice than Murphy, our defense tonight 19, 20, 20, 22, 23, 23, kids have got to get more physical though especially the forwards.

Korch definitely needs more muscle - more upper body strength development at this level. What he's got, isn't enough. Still, in all, nice shot tonight by the kid tonight.

Ok technically nothing new or earth shattering - pretty sure it was said in the thread here before -- just agreed is all.

There's one now available

If they would hire Carle, and get him up here for the last 3 games of the season, does it burn a year off his contract, allowing him to get to his second contract faster

Couldn't they hire him as a Hockey Ops guy (kind of like Q was before coaching), with the agreement thaty he will be named coach at season's end?

Being in the top 5 is a bit better than being ranked between 10 and 15. Oh and look we have a top 4 pick this year, what would be great is if Toronto lost in the 1st round of the playoffs and we ended up with 2 picks in front of them somehow.

I think it's great they got away with offer sheeting 2 players, then your team went on a run and is now in the playoffs(pretender status), this smells a lot like the Predators last year. I think this hurts rebuilds, it sucked that we sucked but our reward is a top 4 pick.

Then you look at future draft picks and the Blackhawks are loaded, Blues are caught in no man's land because they played well made the playoffs and couldn't be sellers at the dead line

Kind of worked for them in 2019. Whether one and done or not, can't take that cup win away from them.

Sure but they had a stud like Pietro on the back end, btw top 4 pick, not seeing any stud like that on their blue line for years now. Oh yea and he went to Vegas and they have a shiny trophy to.

It is a team that does draft well, I'm hoping the Blackhawks have become one of those teams.
