Wiz, there are all kinds of concerns about Roger McQueen’s health. If he should slide to Toronto’s pick do you take a chance on him?

I’ve watched Jack Ivankovich a few times this year. He’s a technically sound goalie, he’s very athletic, he moves incredibly well, his positioning is good but he’s 5’11. In the age of huge goalies how does he project?

- paulr

Jack Ivankovic's father who was goalie is 6' 4"

I truly do not think Roger McQueen lasts into the 20's where that pick will be.

He is a top 8 pick no matter what you think about his back, I believe.

and IF he free falls, I can't imagine it is much farther....

Ivankovic has been outstanding against Sweden. He’s so quick and reads the play well.

Another guy on Canada who I watched closely all season is Simon Wang. He’s 6’6” 210, he’s an a very good skater, good speed and agility but needs to work on his first step. He’s extremely raw at this point but his athleticism gives him an opportunity to improve. The kid came to Canada from China when he was 12 so his development may be stunted due to that.

Anyone see that nice little set of moves Makar made at the end of the 2nd?

Tight gap and cuts off pass through center ice.

Stick handles a bit. Slows down the Stars. Rest of Avs get back onside and Makar full speed in 2 strides from stand still and takes it back into ozone 1 on 4. Dangles/skates through 2 guys and rips one on net.

Just unreal. It’s like they have a 2 way 2nd line center out there playing D.

That’s why I hope they can draft Schaefer.

Meanwhile the Icehogs blitzed the Admirals 6-1, lead 2 games to none- and both of those were road games- putting Milwaukee in a massive hole.

Joey Anderson with a natural hatty.

Maybe Mark Eaton is the Hawks next coach, because Danny boy doesn’t want to pony up for a NHL caliber coach.

He will be Sorenson’s new assistant. They will move King back to Rockford as head coach.

11 pts last 3 games for him. Went beast mode.

Necas don’t do much. Didn’t like the penalties called in the 3rd against Avs.

Yes they were penalties but then I watched 3 consecutive Dallas players commit penalties that weren’t called. As bad or worse than the ones called on Avs.

Either eat the whistles in the 3rd or don’t. I hate the inconsistency.

Pay the right star players, because obviously you don’t want to pony up for a Kris Bryant or Baez when they’re 30 years old.

I agree 100% with this post. Rantanan is one of the top 5 forwards in the league, Necas is more of a real good complimentary forward. Hate to see the Avs out, I love watching Makar and MacKinnon on the ice. If Schaefer is anything close to Makar, then KD needs to grab him if he’s on the board.

Arrow is pointing up on Tucker and PCA. Ricketts hasn't been close on the market lately. $150M contracts have become $400M contracts. Hoyer will take the fall.

What a game, damn man really curious to see how the Blues do next season.

It's one thing to lose in a playoff series but it's another to have your heart ripped out

I just read that tomorrow night at six o'clock central, the NHL is going to expose its balls to us live on ESPN! That should be fun.

They're short on pitching and if Ricketts doesn't pay Tucker he ends up being a one year rental.

Think Bedard turning down going to the world championship is a mistake.
Crosby announced he is going. 37 year old 20 ÿear veteran with nothing left to prove goes n a 19 year old with every thing to prove doesn't go to represent his country. This is not a good look.

He's a kid who most likely feels a lot of pressure. Doesn't matter if it's from himself or others. He might feel he needs a break, and I wouldn't disagree with him if he did.
