Think Bedard turning down going to the world championship is a mistake.
Crosby announced he is going. 37 year old 20 ÿear veteran with nothing left to prove goes n a 19 year old with every thing to prove doesn't go to represent his country. This is not a good look.

- HamiltonHawk

I am not IF he is committed to changing his off season training regimen to work on areas he wants to improve. And his public statement at the end of the regular season pretty much confirms this. So I give him a pass.
His Blackhawks teammates will be radically faster this October when compared to October '24.

You should write a strongly worded letter so that he really feels bad.

Sorry, I'm a bit salty this morning. Bedard not playing is a complete non-issue. The kid has been going non-stop since he was drafted. He's said he wants to improve a number of things this offseason (namely his speed). If I'm the Hawks I salute the kid and provide every possible resource available to him to help his reach his goals.

Besides, can you imagine the nonsense that would pop up on this board if, god-forbid, he got injured in that tournament?

At this juncture, it is pointless

1) to do the Tankaton order reset, and
(go to mt 2025 Mock on Lines.com and read the top 16 evaluations I have up...

2) to go all indignant on Bedard for skipping the World's.

He is training to get faster and stronger.

If he succeeds, he will have an endless stack of invitations to play for his country.

and it always seems like players at different levels have alwsys made yes or no on this particular tournament based on mor ethan injuries, even spending time with their kids, relaxing and in recoup before they get ready to train for their next NHL season.
To me,
It ainst no thing, chicken wing.

Well gave her a spin this morning ,just for fun .And I got Hawks picking 4th ,Seattle was the big winner with Philly picking 2nd . At this point looks like Frondell would be the best pick .

I think on top of it all Bedard might be a bit salty that he didn't get selected by Canada to play in the 4 nations. Either way, yeah it's not a huge issue that he skips out. His focus is on the NHL for next season and if he needs rest or to start training or whatever it is that he needs, that's fine. I think we see every year that a lot of good players skip this tourney.

Not a huge deal .I personally wish he had of gone , with Crosby and possibly MacKinnon going would have been a terrific experience for the kid . I also don't believe he was ready for the Four nations .

FINAL TANKATHON

Last two spins have had CHI moving up to #1. PHI get #2 today.

2 Chicago
4 Philadelphia
1 San Jose
3 Nashville
5 Boston
6 Seattle
7 Buffalo
8 Anaheim
9 Pittsburgh
10 NY Islanders
11 NY Rangers
12 Detroit
13 Columbus
14 Utah
15 Vancouver
16 Calgary (to MON)

PHI looks like they want centers as well, more so than defensemen. Could be a little cat and mouse game, CHI might pick Misa; so maybe PHI trades up to #1 and takes Misa, CHI get #2 and takes Schaefer or trades down again.

Well yeah your first line was kind of being a Richard lol, I'm just stating a thought .
I think playing with good players in games that matter would help his devopment .

As for training to improve that's great but I think the tournament is what? Two weeks ?
He has been off since mid April n will be off to what mid September
That's 5 months plenty of time to rest n work on other areas
Saying that, he does have to decide what he thinks is best for his career so good on him for making the choice he thinks is best

I am all in on Utah and Columbus winning the 2025 lottery and not messing with the current order where the Hawks can win the top slot in 2026 to get Gavin McKenna or Ryan Roobroeck.

When Steve from Glencoe and his son were at the draft, they talked to the Stenberg family and the younger brother to Blue's draftee Stenberg, told them he was going in the firdt round in his drfat year. Well he certainly isn't a scrub, so maybe...

Ivar was about 5 ft tall when he told us that he was going to be a first rounder. Been watching him ever since and he looks great 5'11" and 180lbs. Knut is coming soon.

Went to Milwaukee Saturday night to see the future. I hope I am wrong but is Lev slow or just playing slow? The D looks decent but who on that forward group is going to make a difference in an NHL playoff series? Dach? Savoie? Thompson? Seems like there is still a long way to go.

Would be interesting to see all the data from our tankathon spins, and compare the average of all teams draft position with tonight’s results. No, I’m not volunteering for this task. May the balls fall the Hawks way. This reminds me, went to my churches golf scramble one year, and Father(I’ll call him Joe)said a prayer before tee off, at the end of the prayer some guy yells out, “Father, can you bless my balls!”. True story.

Hey Steve. Honestly, I think it just looks like Lev is slow. Outside of a couple of bad pinches, I've rarely seen him ever get beat. He really just looks like his moves slow. It's something with his skating motion.

The forwards that most are interested in aren't really playing outside of Dach. Thompson is an older kid, but he's got hands and speed. Everyone wants Savoie to be a Shaw clone and the more I've watched him the less I think so. Beyond that no one else is really playing. Hayes has picked it up lately in the PO's but he's going to have to be able to show it during the season.

Spellacy, Vanacker, are there but not playing. Lardis is injured. Misiak isn't there. Moore, and Greene aren't' eligible, and Nazar and Slaggert (two of their biggest scorers have graduated. That's a lot of high end talent (not to mention Boisvert eventually) that isn't even on the ice, but theoretically close.

I'm not saying they are competing for a PO spot next year, but I don't think it's nearly as dire as many are making it out to be.

I love the optimism. I am watching the NHL first round and trying to project the Hawks against any of those teams. I know that some of the bigger guys are working there way into the mix but next year or the year after, who is going to be a difference maker. As for Lev getting beat, watch the Milwaukee goal on Saturday night. That can happen to anyone but what I was watching was him moving around his zone and then trying to jump into the play. We will see.

The University of Denver announced on Monday that head coach David Carle has signed a multi-year contract extension to remain with the hockey program "in the near and long-term future."

Rob Blake is out after eight seasons as the Los Angeles Kings' vice president and general manager.

The Kings announced a mutual parting with Blake on Monday, four days after Los Angeles lost to Edmonton in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs for the fourth consecutive season. Blake was working on a three-year contract extension that concludes this summer.

I believe many will see this as a negative rebuild until it's not. As I've said before so many instant gratification people in this world.

I said last year about the Cubs they are in position, they hired their coach, they made a run but came up short last year, here's another season but the difference is they got off to a good start, will they make the playoffs? Don't know but I'd say the odds are pretty good because it's a deeper and more experienced team than last year.

Blue line is beginning to stack more and more games, the forwards are just beginning to trickle in, i just don't know who the hell they are going to hire as a coach.

I'm so glad we weren't St. Louis this year that was a devastating loss to a young and up and coming team with no skins on the wall.

I would of fired him after seeing how Faber played for the Wild, just a terrible trade.
