Porter Martone is in Canada’s lineup at the World Championships replacing Bo Horvat who was injured in the last game. Let’s see what he can do against the world’s best.

Martone taking a regular shift doesn’t look out of place. He just made a great backchecking play breaking up a two on one.

That would still be a win for the Hawks

Nope, Martone all day . Misa would be tough to overlock if he is available.

Frank Nazar now sitting 3rd in scoring at the worlds with 11 points in 7 games. I hope this is going to help give him confidence going into the summer.

Based on very limited viewing of scouting videos, Martone and Desnoyers stood out the most to me. I am assuming Misa is already taken.

Frondell is the one I like the least from the group being projected as possible at 3.

The more I see and hear about Desnoyers the more he is the guy I’d like to see. Apparently the top hockey IQ in the draft. Looking forward to seeing him in the Memorial Cup where I can see how he competes against his CHL counterparts.

Panthers look like they kicked it up another notch. In full playoff mode now. They want another shot at a cup.

Canes need to play with speed and quickness or they aren’t going to last more than 6.

Yep, plus Bob is dialed in. I still think that the Stars win it all.

Stars Panthers would be a nasty slugfest with skill up and down both lineups.

You REALLY GOT me and i did go back and saw the homer.
I turned off before I heard who we all hated.

I'll take both w/o needing a podcast.

If the bring wins, get Bedsy head enaged and straight, Mitch can come here until he or Bedsy Betsy or the coaches think it is time, he's an easy unload to contending team, which we aren't just yet, so his signing helps the seats filled and maybe he fit alongside the kid.

Could make a case for what is the bigger need for the Hawks big power forward to pair with Bedard kinda like mcannion and ratteean in Colorado or getting a 200ft game center man like towes or Bergeron. If I had to pick take matone I see what ratteean or Tkachuk does for a team down low and in front of the net. I be happy with either Frondell for me something is just off with him.

Great minds & all.
I thought that when I saw the days are comin'.

I am with you, I am wanting to see you has their interest in centres Frondell Desnoyers Hagens & is they would really NOT take centre and simply grab that different style teammate in Martone.

I was gonna save my guess and break down the three Centre-LW / Centre-RWs when i have time closer to the decision.

I do know Kyle did mention "players who will be playing in the bigs sooner in this class. "

Then we all should have an idea is FOUR picked player, or 3, or 2, or just 1(Misa)

You see i can flop, but I think they know Nazar can player anywhere up front even a top line.
I think they would love to have the security of Desnoyers or Frondell's strengths. Hagen's has different high end gifts too.

But, if you see one of the firt two on the board, and feel they are centres, there is big temptation when your top two at this instance are Bedard and someone not here yet, it's a comfort to know they can play any foward position, back up face off man, he better be able to audition for centre and the winger. I see Hagen's chance unlikely because then you then hope that college maybe signing of Sacha Boisvert, whose skating, frankly, doesn't hold water to these other centremen.

Frankly want all three Desnoyers, Frondell and Martone.

Last thoughtS
I was kinda surprised when this draft was being hyped for it’s [entirety]
One top guy

7 more top prospects, real good prospects,
more intriguing kids and thatis a middle that is a fat one that at first I was think in the mid-fourties.

Then after a bit more scrutiny, I see the recognizable kids starting to tail off around around slot 66 or thereabouts.

Some things from Bamford's site.

https://www.bleachernatio...other-blackhawks-bullets/

Bruins also interested in Blashill.

Hawks locked in with FLA 2026 1st, since conditions have been met giving Boston their 2027 1st in the Marchand trade.

SJS interested in Martone? (I'd take that with a grain of salt. Probably need Martone to really light it up in the World tourney to get the Sharks thinking.)

Is Shaffer the consensus #1 like Shane Wright was the consensus #1? Only in the fans eyes.
