Eller is a n UFA so make sense to move him. They have many pieces to move if those pieces waive their no trade clauses. They will be an interesting team to watch as they could rebuild somewhat quickly. If ownership was smart.

Absolutely. And that wasn't Hextall that acquired Karlsson. Everyone thought Dubas was the saviour but he was hamstrung the same as Hextall. Hey new Gm, welcome. We want you to continue to contend but you can't trade any of the core 3 even though it's not working out anymore as a team. Good luck!

No, Hextall made a laundry list of mistakes, Dubas through a Hail Mary and it didn’t work.

They could. If the big 3 waive their NTC, they could get a boat load of picks for them and to me, this is the correct play if they are smart. The NHL won't want them to struggle for long and you can bet that they'll win the first overall pick as long as they are bottom 5.

No. Dubas was brought in under the same restrictions as hextall was and is making the situation worse? Karlsson? Jarry Extension? Sending out pick after pick to try to compete and not making the playoffs?

Trading for Karlsson was definitely going all in with the last remaining years of their big 3 of Crosby, Malkin and Letang. Letang was never incredible defensively and Karlsson makes Letang look like Adam Foote in his own end. Everyone else around these 4 are dead bodies. Karlsson was hands down the worst thing Pittsburgh could do and I love it.
thought most thought 2025 was a deep draft, are they saying it might be as the season moves along? The Flyers need to get into the top 5, but Flyers will Flyer

The Flyers are back on the luck plan. Doesn’t mean it won’t happen but isn’t really a plan at all.

Wouldn't it be fitting for Pitt to get Jimmy Hagans, a P'burgh native and early participant in Sid's local learn to play for little kids? The script is written and it's a virtual guarantee at this point.
