If they move any of those guys Pens will have to retain 40-50% on each....

Which we can only retain on one player right now. Likely that would be Karlsson. I don't think Graves or Jarry are tradable at all right now even at 50% retained.

I probably don't even bother with Graves. Jarry I'd like to move because we have a better goalie.

I think Jarry will have some value around the league especially if he can show some flashes that he still is good. Unfortunately all teams know our defense is terrible

Honestly can we fire him now? If he is telling Sid he is trying to build a competitive team. Idk how he is going to do it with terrible deals like this

Idk if I can trust Dubas and his plan. We are all hoping his plan is to tank this season. Get as much as he possibly can in compensation and cap space (hopefully trading off Jarry and Karlsson as well as our other ufas). Get a top 5 talent (maybe even #1) who potentially could be on the roster next season. Be aggressive via free agency by getting Marner (maybe even Tavares on a cheaper deal). Then someone like Ekblad to be the face of the defense and maybe even grab Chychrun. Then make a run next season. It sucks that you burn a season, but at this point it may be the only option.

Drew O’Connor

Penguins acquire:

Timothy Liljegren
Nick Robertson
2026 first-round pick


I did raise an eyebrow to it. We know Dubas likes his old players. I would hate to lose DOC, but getting 2 younger players who have some potential and a 1st I would definitely consider the deal. I know Bunting has been rumored on a few Canadian rumors sites with Calgary potentially having some interest
