The problem with Drysdale is that we aren’t even seeing flashes. I am not writing him off. Hopefully it’s just because he is overthinking but outside of just skating I don’t see anything from him yet; ie passing shooting decision making. I have seen more flashes from Andrae. - psuhockey
Hopefully the time off gives him a re set, but yes, I'm most concerned about him. Sadly, we've been playing better of late without him. Hope that's just coincidence. |

Not a glowing endorsement. Kind of threw him under the bus a tad. - furio16
I would still take a chance that Shaw could get something out of him. Sanheim York Andrae Jiricek sounds like a nice top four and very soon. |

Would 100% look into it.
Going to pump the breaks on Andrae being top 4. He has a long way to go before he can claim that role. |

He's played 5 games for Columbus, can't even get into the lineup and then stay there for a rebuilding team. Maybe I trade Frost for him straight up as two change of scenarey players, but otherwise I wouldn't put much into Jiracek. It looks like Fletcher/Flahr made the right decision to draft Quitter, at least at draft time. |

Gustav Forsling was waived by Carolina. If can’t even stay on the NHL team roster he probably has no future in the NHL. Chicago made the right choice in trading him to Carolina for Calvin de Haan in the first place. |

York a problem too ? 😉 I know what you were trying to convey.- just messing around. I'm not worried about Drysdale simply because he played in ANA is my reasoning. Much like when we discuss BUF players changing teams and becoming better, that is how I feel about Ducks players. This is why I have advocated trading for Zegras if available. Hopefully Drysdale will show improvement to a Reinhart level as opposed to Risto level. Certainly Drysdale could just flatline and this is his level. TBD for the next 2 years for me.

What other teams do does not matter as we are discussing the Flyers are we not?
Handedness and position do matter. Not every dman can play their offside. To think otherwise is foolish.
Risto plays almost 4 minutes more per night than Seeler. Same as JD only because Flyers have to try to prop JD up and so far he has been bad. End of story. - furio16
How is what other teams do not relevant when you say no one would bite on Risto and they "Know" Risto. If other teams make dumb moves than adding Risto is a plausible dumb move.......
JD hasnt been great but hes been nowhere as bad as you believe. He is also a 22 year old Dman who is still developing. Sanheim is what 27? He was nothing close to what he is today at 22. The JD you see in 5 years can be vastly different than what you see today

Frost + for Zegras? - MBFlyerfan
Im not a fan of Zegras but depending on what the + is I might be ok with the add. I dont have any interest in moving a 1st for Zegras
Flyers should continue to add through the draft unless someone with high upside becomes available like a Devon Toews type deal. Cap strapped team cant keep sign the player so they move him. I just dont see Zegras a #1 C

Rumor last year was Verbeek wanted York for Zegras. Another year has gone by and Zegras is even further away from back to back 60 pt seasons. I do not think Verbeek is looking for center help.

Good for EJ.
I guess the Flyers love doing this because only 2 players have ever played 1000 games or more for the Flyers.

Looked like he landed hard on his upper back. Scary seeing them take him out like that. I hope they’re just being extra cautious and he’s ok. |

Ref got hit pretty hard from behind by Manson. He torqued pretty good and hit the ice awkwardly. Looked like a neck injury or upper back injury. Took him off on a stretcher with full backboard and neck immobilization. |
