Maybe the pick they should get from Calgary or Florida but do we have an idea where that one will land?

Unless maybe they are willing to take a guy like Barron.

- deadpoulet

I mean, I wouldn't be against giving Barron, Mailloux or Struble but I doubt those guys are worth much.

Guys, Matheson is suddenly a hot commodity.

Pass it on.

- Mashadar

traded for Barron. pout pout pout
traded for Dach. pout pout pout
trade for Newhook. pout pout pout

Matheson is the only one they traded for who is doing well. they better not (frank) this up if they let him go.

I dont think Jiricek has the same value he used to have either and it seems he wants out of this org

Like I said, mtl could trade their other first round pick, as long as they keep their own

He will never have more value than now, you can (frank) things up multiples ways

Fans should have expected Dach to have a down season after missing a full year

If you look at his age and the position he's been drafted, his value should be similar to Dach when the Habs got him.

And Dach was trade for pick number 13.

But then again, Dach was not unhappy in Chicago as far as I know and did not want out of there. That was the Hawks decision.

maybe higher, since Jiricek is a right-handed defenseman.

meh, Dach is a centre or at least is supposed to be so pretty much the same value for position

not saying Jiricek is worth a whole lot more but right-handed dmen are a bit rarer of a commodity.

Teams seem to value centres more in general be it in trades or at the draft.

You can play a LHD on the right. Not a winger as a centre.

Then again, if we are talking Dvorak, everybody hates him so Jiricek would have a lot more value than him, yes

I think that's simply because there are more forwards on a team then there are defensemen, so logically more forwards will be drafted or traded lol.

anyway the jackets seem to be very poorly managed, so perhaps Hughes could take advantage of this situation... they probably would ask more than Dvorak for a return but we'll see.

It has been a new GM for them so not easy to draw conclusions from the past. Anyway, I doubt mtl would be the only team interested to make a deal for him. Not the same situation as Laine at all

In fairness, he has been there for 7 months and one of his main pieces died over the summer. He did a good job with building Carolina, so I would not throw him out just yet.

KK aside...

It's kind of surreal that Milk Babschlong was a HHOFer, best coach in the world and Team Canada ubermensch to dried up hobbo sipping on the copium of his millions conned out of teams in only a decade of time.
