Okay - vancity787
VC….good to see you. It was a reactionary post for the Pettersson haters, not to be taken literally. Miller needs a mental and physical reset, dealing with a lot physically. Don’t worry, love the guy, just being facetious. |

Min 7 game break for Miller to clear his head we are told. Min 14 points up for grabs during his "break" and could easily be the deciding factor for in or out of the playoffs. Left the team the day after RT held him accountable for his lazy play which has been a problem often this season.
Not sure Miller has the mental fortitude that people promote. Last year looking like an outlier. Imagine if Petey was whining about the pumpkin patch and telling the team I'm out of here for a couple of weeks because of mental fatigue.
Lucky for Miller, he will return when Boeser is back in the line up conveniently. Miller disappeared in the games without Boeser. - boonerbuck
I think he’s injured and trying to play thru too much. It takes a mental toll when you’re in pain every night and you’re still trying to drag your ass into the fight. It’s not the playoffs, we haven’t even hit game 20 yet. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. |

Thinking about the Miller benching. At first thought, I was curious why that was the game he was benched. He had far worse games this season, but you can hardly blame RT... we know what kind of leader he was. He's probably not too impressed with that kind of play when he's supposed to be mentoring the team's top prospect on his wing and he's hanging him out to dry and dragging his ass. |

I think he's banged up as well but I don't see anything to show that is why he's out. So many things contradict that. It's far less risky just calling injuries... "injuries" and putting him on IR than downplay the injury and call it a mental break the day after his benching and scolding in the presser. Followed by his wife dropping her social media. It's a recipe for disaster. We all know how the speculation snowballs out of control in this market. Last year we had a poopload of people pushing the "Petey is demanding to be traded to a last place team where he'll play second fiddle to a younger player for years and years down the road". There was nothing to support that rumor but people were completely invested in it. If the Canucks start bleeding points.... people are going to turn on Miller for what they are being told is a break. If he's injured and they just call it that, there's nothing to speculate. Clearly it's not the main problem here. |

Debrusk was a beast tonight. That line has come together nicely. If this lasts, then the Canucks should have the entire top 6 producing. Hopefully they are not in a hole by then. |

Podkolzin scored his first goal in several years, somewhere in a 300 sq ft apartment Vantel is smiling, still thinking to himself, Vancouver made a mistake trading him. |

VHG says Vantel actually said it was a mistake.
I don't think it would have been a mistake to keep him in the system longer. With that being said, I hardly think it will hurt the team letting him go. |
