Tippett doesn't get scratched because Torts thinks "Him skate fast, him good"

Flyers lines and pairs at morning skate:

Farabee - Couturier - Konecny
Tippett - Frost - Michkov
Foerster - Cates - Brink
Laughton - Poehling - Hathaway

York - Sanheim
Andrae - Ristolainen
Seeler - Grans

- MBFlyerfan

As much as Torts has double standards, I like he is playing Grans and Andrae.

I like that too but Zamula is sitting. Get rid of Ristolainen and put in Zamula. Wishful thinking.

have to play RR if you want a chance to trade him, hopefully it all comes together down the stretch

Any trade is going to be taking it on the chin. Flyers keep putting themselves in this position with a lack of foresight.

I actually really like the dynamic of these lines today. I like where everyone is slotted

they do, but if RR can just keep it simple, chip in some points, maybe they find that team who needs size and grit for the playoffs. The hope that is left, is that DB is waiting for this deadline to dump all he can, only move young guys for other young guys and limp to the bottom to end the season. CBJ's are helping out by winning.

I think Ristolainen will be a tough move for a deadline deal. Hope is the correct word.

Farabee is a smart player that puts himself in the right positions on the ice and around the puck frequently. He just does not have the skill level needed to finish. Still I wouldn't mind him on the team, but I think he is also replaceable. I agree Frost needs to be traded and get a fresh start. Risto is a legimitate top 4 defenseman in thie league, everyone knows it. Shaw has really done some good coaching here, and now you can see Risto is comfortable on the defensive end so is now stepping up offensively. I am leaning towards keeping him. I am worried about Drysdale, that is will be nothing more than Ghost, only Ghost that can't stay on the ice.

I'm not really a Ghost guy and never was, but at this point I'd take that production from Drysdale and run for the hills! He is a very poor man's Ghost at this point.

The only way he’d get moved is if we retained 50 percent of the salary and the return would be low I’d expect. I think it’s possible that he gets moved as a short term rental later in the deal. He’s playing decent but he’s not worth that cap hit.

Better off riding the contract out unless any retention is too good to pass up. Which to me is unlikely. Then maybe in his last year you move him.

Unless he is still playing like a top 4 then you re-sign him!!

Omg. Don’t say that!! Haha One of the stupidest trades and contracts in recent times. Oh well. We would likely have pissed away the first round pick anyway ffs

#14 overall 2021 - Isak Rosen (Rochester Americans)

best player after that pick in the 1st round? probably Wyatt Johnson?

Seems like Bill’s been gone forever. Can’t we just have JD and MJL just go full-on steel cage match since we don’t get Bills insightful blogs anymore?

Jiricek rumors picking up. So why not the Flyers?

Nothing solid I’m reading lots and lots of speculation about all the teams interested. What does everything think a fair and acceptable package would look like?

From a scoring perspective he has been the best player in that draft so far.

Well, i guess he must be traded to get playoff experience. He didn’t get any being part of the Sabres dynasty. ☺️
