Thanks York.
Gutsy play by the Canucks. Lots to like by everyone involved. Looking forward to more on the road.
By the way the Bruins not so realing wining past 2 games since firing their coach.
Hopefully with a rested QH and a streaking Debrusk Canucks can meet the challenge. |

Thanks for the recap York. On a side note, life can come at you fast!!
"The St. Louis Blues have fired coach Drew Bannister and hired Jim Montgomery as his replacement just five days after the 2022 Jack Adams Award winner was let go by the Boston Bruins. President and general manager Doug Armstrong announced the stunning change Sunday." |

Gotta feel bad for Ottawa, having one of the worst coaches ever.
That was a dangerous play by Hughes, that and the reverse hit need to be taken out of the game. |

Should quiet some of the criticism about him being a soft Captain though. |

Podkolzin scored his first goal in several years, somewhere in a 300 sq ft apartment Vantel is smiling, still thinking to himself, Vancouver made a mistake trading him. - Pacificgem

York Newbury: Canucks Start Roadtrip with Win over Sens - York Newbury
Thanks NYN,
I might be the only one here that didn’t have a problem with the major on Hughes, if Norris didn’t bleed it would have been 2, he did so letter of the law is a major.
I did have have issues with the rest of the officiating it was pretty inconsistent and heavily favoured the Sens. |

Prime example of inconsistency:

Hughes' being a major and this being a minor is hilarious |

I’m confused here Reuby, you like physical hockey but want the reverse hit taken out? I absolutely love the reverse hit, blow those (frank)ers up. So the player has to get plastered into the boards but isn’t allowed to brace himself and take action before being hit?
Or is my sarcasm meter not picking up what you’re laying down. |

It took them 5 minutes of video reviewing and discussing it to determine if there was blood on the minor scrape that could have been avoided if he didnt drop his arms on the way into the boards for dramatic effect instead of protecting himself?? No, the blood was determined immediately.
What a dumbass rule anyways... a scrape for a high stick is 2:00 + 2:00. Exact same scrape in this situation is 5 min and a game? 5 min and a game should be for intent to injure. This was clearly not an intent to injure. |

I thought Norris sold it a bit but it was a boarding penalty. A soft one. |

I agree with this as I have described. Dropped his arms for the sale... there was no intent to injure.

Petey uses the reverse hit often so that explains why Ruby hates it. Very little to be confused about here.

As you mention in your previous post, letter of the law, or something like that, the reverse hit is interference, no different than a defender not being able to tie up a player after he has dumped it in. If the player does, they usually get called.
Promoting the reverse hit is promoting the rulebook be ignored, yet some think it is okay, probably because it is one of the few things Pouty is decent at, cheating. |
