Yohe posted an article about Sullivan, nothing new has been added. Pretty much said the same thing we have, Sullivan's reputation with the team is strong given his relationship with Crosby and FSG, and the fact he has won 2 Stanley Cups.
Probably the most interesting bit was when he said expectations were low for this team. I found that interesting since many have said Crosby was promised they would compete this season. |

I really hope we are in on one of Jiricek in Columbus (who is openly available) or (my preference) Maillioux in Montreal who for some reason is still in the AHL.
Either becomes our #3 RD immediately and both are surefire top 4 with top pair upside. Maillioux & Brunike would make a great RD pair for a decade.
I wonder if McGroaty has any value to either team or if his value has completely sewered with his poor performance in WBS? - MacPatty
How TF do you trade your best prospect for a dude who can barely score in the AHL and is suppose to be NHL ready but can’t crack this roster?
Zero confidence with Dubas making this team anything in 2-3 yrs….i don’t think he even lasts that long tbh.

Alright Ducks... you guys badly need a RH PP QB...
Karlsson, Jarry & McGroaty for Gibson, Killorn & Gudas. Dollars even out and Karlsson gets to go to Anaheim to be the man. |

He took over a dumpster fire with barron cupboards…this was always going to be a long process. You sound like the type of guy who has paper hands with investments |

Montreal is stacked with D prospects. I’m sure Mailloux could be had. Just add both xekhaj brothers for some heart and soul. Maybe even swap bad contracts in Anderson for someone to shore up that 3rd line rw. |

Wonder where tomasino fits in. Not a bad trade for a 4th rounder. Don’t know anything about him but decent stats in Nashville.
Edit - apparently a speedy forward who goes to the net. Good offensive instincts. Needs to work on defensive game. Good hockey sense, skill and above average compete level. Needs to add strength to fully utilize his play style in the hard to go areas. |

So much for stacking picks, trading them for an underachiever with no term left. |

Meh a 2027 4th round pick isn’t much of a sacrifice. He has just under a .5 ppg with Nashville and plays all 3 positions. I’d rather have him than nieto (I’m aware nieto will still play and tomasino will be lucky to get 6 minutes) If sully won’t play a game fit for hockey seniors then dubas needs a younger team that can play his style. Either way we are still drafting near the top. |

Former late first rounder. Worth the risk of a 4th rounder.

Looking at previous drafts Pittsburgh has not done very well haha. In the last 10 years I’d say the most successful drafted players to play in Pittsburgh have been sprong, lafferty, and Simon. I wouldn’t expect much out of a pens 4th round pick. |

New regime with a lot more draft capital. I'll bet they find some players.
That said, I agree with TW's take. They got a bunch of extra 2nds and 3rds, so using a 4th on a change of scenery player is fine.
Of course when I see Puljujarvi practicing on a fourth line, I don't have much faith Sully will unlock his potential. |

Very true. Plus as the vets get healthy any kids will be gone. Acari has been good but the rest need to go sooner than later.
In other news Carolina should be desperate for a goalie and Ottawa for a dman. Dubas better be calling. |
