They are. Adam Henrique got a 1st round pick. No reason Laughton couldnt get a late 1st either. Contenders dont value 1st round picks. The value for them isnt there that late. They are better off getting a known quantity. Players arent Computers either. They dont play at one level all the time. They do struggle at times as Laughton is right now. Oyher teams do value him. It is just the Flyers who have to decide to move him.

I hope you are right! I have always liked Laughton but just don't see us getting much for him at this point. I'd love to get a late 1st but figure at this stage of his career, it would be a 2nd rounder. The Flyers would probably value him worth more than a 2nd rounder and not let him go.

I would be surprised and upset if they added(Rental). All I can see is them adding a EJ type depth guy for a 4th or lower. Flyers still may elect to sell as they did last season. Anyone worth moving has term so it is unknown wether moving someone will be an option due to cap contraints for other teams. Not sure if we want cap dumps at this point either.

If the Flyers are truly rebuilding, they know these three 1st round picks they have are worthless unless they are in the top 10. They must trade Laughton and Risto at a minimum, and maybe Frost also if he can stay in the lineup. Open up spots, save cap and finish in the bottom 10.

they are not truly rebuilding. they are rebuilding the flyers way.

they do? yet they have been touting the 2025 draft as franchise altering. there was never a chance the oiler or avs would be top 10.

Flyers culture. Just win, baby. The boys deserve it after putting in the work. Especially guys like Laughts and Cootsy wootsy. They deserve a chance at a title and some playoff hockey.

This organization will never change and unless they get lucky numerous times, as they did with Michkov. They will never be more than just an average playoff team.
