Accurate was touting how good Drury was at drafting players? - Greschnergy#4
Jesus, man. In no way was that what I was saying. And, I think that was pretty obvious. Looking for an argument today?? |

I mean yeah, but he's also been widely praised for what he's done at the TDL last 3 years, which is what has depleted our draft capital. Even the Kane move people didn't mind spending a 2nd for him, the takes on Kane are all now that we have hindsight. So it's a bit of revisionist history to say he depleted it with nothing to show for it. As a sports team manager you essentially gamble with your futures and hope that your team will win it all and it will be worth it. We got to final 4 twice in 3 years, that's decent odds of us bagging a cup. Didn't happen. That's the way it goes. - t-dawg
I mean also it’s not Drury’s fault the veterans are mentally weak and unwilling to play cause Goodrow was waived and trade rumors are out there. Grow up you make millions a year. Play better if you want it to stop |

That’s kind of where I stand too. How many suits do these players get to have fired while they get away with sunshine and roses ? It’s ridiculous |

I don’t think drury is perfect but to say he is awful is just not true. I feel like people just want someone to blame during this time |

I really think Dolan would hire Sather. So it’s a no dawg lol
Who is Drurys right hand man? I’m not sure who that is. Like how he was Gortons |

lol that’s the thing. There are a lot of bad GMs in the league, if Drury is fired it could get a lot worse fast lol. At least we know Drury wants to make changes. It’s just not that simple or easy when half the team has no movement clauses lol |

I agree 100%
It could very much get worse. Drury hasn’t traded one prospect worth a damn in 3 years of going for it. That’s pretty impressive. Picks yea but you can’t go for it and not give up anything.
His stud draft picks are still maturing too. This isn’t his core (older guys) necessarily. He’s extended some but I don’t think his product is finished yet. |

I completely agree the zib extension was awful. But Trocheck before the last 15 games was everyone’s favorite player and most wanted him to be captain. You can’t blame Drury for that. Gorton gave out the long term NMC deals to Kreider, Panarin and Trouba. Drury also got Laf signed to that great deal we all loved. To say he suck’s just isn’t accurate |

Rangers9479 made it so clear at the time that picking up Kane for even a bag of balls was a mistake. I didn’t agree with him at the time. I was in line with what you’re saying. |

Do we know though what really happened? I think most of us wanted Goodrow off the books, they needed cap space. What if Drury had a legit sit down with Goodrow first? I just don’t know what really happened other than social media rumors |

I think he’s just fed up. How can you blame him. The players in this core have never been scapegoated unless it’s here lol |

Daily faceoff has these lines
Panarin Zib Cuylle
Kreider Trocheck Laf
Chytil Kakko Smith
Vesey Carrick Berard
He must be using Cuylle to get Zib and Panarin going. I’d prefer Smith and Berard switch |

Yeah not trying to wholeheartedly defend Drury here, because he's obviously made mistakes like all GMs do. This has to be on the core players of this team. Zibanejad, Trouba, Kreider, Panarin, even throw in Miller and Lindgren if we want to call them part of this past 3-4 year core. Can't keep firing coaches and GMs just to mask players underperforming, have to change the players. |

Yeah of course there were outliers, but the vast majority approved of the Kane move. I think we could all feel it failing in real time as we were playing shorthanded to make the cap work, messing with our roster, getting injuries, being so typical Rangers at the deadline, but almost everyone was excited at the prospect of Patrick Kane for a 2nd round pick. Hurt or not. |

Edstrom is noticable every shift. Vesey has been sluggish like the rest of the team. Also, I'd keep Mika far away from Panarin. Dumb Dumb Dumb |

This. Also said the Buch trade was terrible the second it was made and the handling of Kravtsov was terrible.
Didn’t think the time was right for Copp and Vatrano (we got lucky with playing all backup goalies first few rounds)
Said the Smith trade this off-season was a joke and it’s looking like exactly that, a joke.
I’m sure there’s more, and it’s not all hate. Liked the Trocheck signing bc of the type of gritty player he is. I’m sure there’s a few others I’ve liked, but for the most part, I don’t like what he does. He hits me as a weasel. |

Nice to see Cuylle getting the minutes he deserves.
Trocheck should be the 3C IMO. Let him go back to grinding and putting up 40-50 points. Kreider-Trocheck-Smith. Let them try to be a shutdown line who can chip in dirty goals. The kids all deserve top 6 minutes at this point.
Time to rethink PP1 as well. If this game goes like yesterday I really might check out. |

Why you taking a shot 😞
To this day I still think it was Dolan. Not so much Drury. They had a 2-0 lead and these same guys blew that too lol with a different coach |
