Yeah, Korp deserves the majority of starts at this point. He's played much better. - bluemoon737
The irony is that...
Of Ulmark, Swayman and Koripsalo, Korpi (with fewer starts) has the better numbers.

Certainly take him over someone like... say ... Nurse.
But he's definitely not earning his salary / Cap-hit - Nasty_Duck

Nurse was never considered to be the #1D in Edmonton. I've grown tired of Bruins fans and media telling me Charlie McAvoy is a true #1D. Especially in a market where the last 3 true #1D were Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque and Zdeno Chara.
He is not and never will be one of them. I'd say he is a top 4 for sure. But on a cup winning team he's not a #1. |

So I did get your point and we are in agreement for the most part.

Cool. Apologies for coming off abrasive. I feel like being I'm programmed to believe that he is anything more than what he is. It's frustrating. This team has become frustrating. |

Agreed, when Lindholm is on, he is closer to a #1 (still isn't, but closer). |

Chara took a few years to develop into what he was for the Bruins, in fact Ottowa thought Redden was going to be better long term. McAvoy is still young, he might still get there. |

It's certainly looking like the Bruins have decided to play Swayman regardless of who gives them the best chance to win. Based on that mentality, they deserve what they get. Team is a dumpster fire right now.
Dougie, pass the bottle...it's going to be a very long season (going to continue to watch every game regardless). |

That is the hope for sure. I certainly hope he does they need it. To lack a #1D and a #1C, tough odds to beat.

Was hoping after that 1st PK they were going to at least make it difficult on the Jets. They never recovered from Carlo's double minor. Game over in the 1st period.

Bruins need Lindholm back, in a bad way. Lohrei has shown flashes but he can't defend against the good teams. He gets exposed.
Jordan Oesterle led the team on ice time. He has been pretty decent but LOL.
If there is one bright spot from last night, it is the fact that Marchand might be getting his game back a bit. He had some vintage Marchand drives last night that we haven't seen in a while. I think he and Elias are both finding there game together.
But that was a brutal 2nd half of the game.
Bruins have a Swayman problem.

If there was any left after last night I would pass it.
I usually give Swayman the most leash I possibly can, but there wasn't really an excuse for last night. This isn't the same Swayman as last year. What a mess. |

My liver pulled the fire alarm after the second period. Somehow it new there was nothing else to watch in this game. |

He hasn’t even been close to the same and the effort is not there from him. Team was at the very least still fighting when they went down 5-1. He quit.

Yeah, Korpisalo's number are way better and the team seems to play better in front of him. Split should be at least 50/50 (right now 21 games to 9!) or even a bit in favor of Korpisalo. |

I'm not ready to lose Swayman to waivers (he can still be sent down, no protection right now in these first two years of his contract), but I wouldn't be averse to bringing Dipietro up and let Sway watch a few games from the box. If we didn't have to worry about waivers, I would send him down until he proves he has an interest in playing for the Bruins. |

The Bruins need his skill in the line up for sure but he was also getting lit up on a nightly basis. No way was he surviving the season but I’m ready to bring him back up. |

Was gonna post almost the exact same thing... F-U-G-L-Y
And yeah, Swayman's contract will hurt - big time.
They need to stop playing him. Play based on on-ice performance, not cap-hit.

At 8M + his current performance - you think there'd be many takers on waivers?
I'd almost be willing to risk it at this point...
