I’m always happy with a win and let me add that Anders Lee stood out last night. He’s been leading which I love seeing. I still don’t believe this is the group to battle the leagues elite. You just can’t ignore the anemic PP…..it’s 11 for 102 on the season!!! As I mentioned the other day, it’s looking like the scenario of the last few years, which is battling for the final spot. For me, if they’re still trying to eek in on the 82nd game ala Wade Dubliewitz, I say you need to be honest with what you have and start dumping at the deadline.

Does anyone know the real reason the site was down for a few weeks? I ended up going to Twitter and Eklund kept saying the site would be back that day and that went on for a week. I still don’t know why the servers would be down. Is it that he didn’t pay the bill (serious question)?

From what I understand Lou had the site shutdown due to Eklund having an uncanny way of always nailing what the Islanders were about to do.

If they are struggling at the deadline and not in the POs I say there should and will be changes.
I have said that from the beginning but I’m not doing that now. To early for me right now.
There’s time after the season at the draft as well.

Scott Mayfield once again drifting up to the blue line to follow a guy that two forwards are already on....

So Hogberg showing he’s capable do you consider trading Varly when he’s ready to go?

I have been saying for a couple of years now that I'm concerned Varly has a chronic injury. At this stage, even in a limited role, he seems incapable of playing for a sustained period. I'm afraid that word could be out too. I would definitely trade him if I could. He'll at this rate maybe Hogberg could drum up some attention after a handful of starts....

Remember you saying that about Varly in the past.
Yeah if they have 3 capable goalies there’s an opportunity to move 1 of them and it won’t be sOrOkin

Islanders win 3 on the road and come home with a chance to get to 500 and flop.

His full NTC switches to a modified NTC (16 team no-trade list) next season, so I would imagine they can start to explore that in the summer if they want.

they really suck at home this year. the fans are still showing up somewhat, but this kind of performance will really (frank) that up. 2011-12 team right here

I don’t see how you don’t. I don’t know the math of it but I’m sure if you break down games played vs cost to carry so to speak Varlamov is a terrible asset.

This is a deal I don't totally hate, even though it's probably time to start looking to move on from him next year. My guess though is that they won't be able to move him until the season after next, when he is in the final year of his deal.

When they brought him in he was somewhat of a starter. With the emergence of Sorokin there’s just no need for a backup with a 2.75 hit. Hog looks like a decent enough back up albeit it’s only been a few games. Point being with all the talk of money poorly spent I think Varly is right up there. Hopefully they can move him

Great read. “Happy to be here badge” is a phenomenal phrasing.

I think he lands in Dallas, although he would be a great fit on any team he lands with

I didn't even catch that the first time around.

If Lou does do the right thing and trades him, I would love to see him go to Dallas and I would love to see Mavrik Bourque come back, he's going to be a player. I just hope he doesn't go to Toronto because I very badly want to root for him to win a Stanley Cup.

Do you see any chance Lee gets moved?
