Yeah, Nelly had a nice finish. I guess compared to the rest of the team (with a few exceptions), Duclair looks pretty fast.

At first I thought Lee deflected it, but I think it hit off a Shark instead. Either way, I'll take it.

I like Hogbergs game. Reminds me of Lehner.

He was solid.......other than that one goal he gave up. He made a couple of good saves.

Tough to get excited about a win against a bottom dweller like the Sharks. But better than losing, I suppose, especially with all the old-timers in attendance.

Yeah, I get the downside. I just find it difficult to root against them.

I think it tipped of Romanov’s stick to be fair to Hogberg.

Okay, then that explains it. He didn't appear to be screened.

Not sure why he would be any happier with us.

Young D with upside would be a good selection for a retooling team. You can flip some of your playoff caliber veterans to help with Dev's youth.

Going from Long Island to Toronto is like going from tucked away inside the dark, quiet cabinet into the fryer

“I talked to another guy who's a member of another organization, and he said, ‘Not so fast’. They’re trying to also get him.”

@spittinchiclets @BizNasty2point0 says #mnwild  are very interested in #Isles  Brock Nelson but so are many others

Recently, prominent NHL agent Allan Walsh reported the NHL's salary cap ceiling will rise to $97 million for the 2025-26 season. This would be a 10% increase.

For the New York Islanders, this news is especially promising.

Sitting tight to the current $88 million ceiling with the current roster, the Islanders would not have been able to sign all their pending free agents had the salary cap remained flat, or even slightly increased, next season.

The Islander should use this opportunity to try and move on from bad contracts and try better structure the team for the future.

I was thinking aloud why he would be any happier with us(you said he want happy there)rather than the devils not whether it would be a good move for us. 😆

"Passive" pretty much describes all aspects of their PK. For example, other teams make it difficult to gain entry into the o-zone with the puck. Not the Islanders. They just glide around while the other team enters the o-zone. Are they saving their energy for their golf game in the offseason?
