I don't think it was a benching. But, if you're not trying to get extra shifts to your best forwards when you need multiple goals, what the (frank) are you doing? Rolling 4 lines, down by 4 in the 3rd period at home is akin to giving up.

But it’s the message,lmao

Shesty and a pick for Byfield and Portillo

Fox for a pick McBain and Lamoureux

Othmann and Miller for Edvinsson

Jones for a 3rd round pick

Zib 25% retained for whoever he’ll waive to for some picks

Blow it up, let’s get crazy

Out of curiosity, with the chatter around the Rangers' inquiry to acquire JT Miller... what do you think the Rangers would offer? Assuming the offer isn't purely futures, or Zibanejad/Trouba as I don't think that would really be enticing for the Canucks to move him.

I don’t see that actually happening to be honest.

Agreed, I'd put the likelihood at minimal... was just curious as there's been a bit more chatter to it than I would expect, especially with Miller taking a leave at the moment

Nothing was more telling of the psyche of this team more than when they had a 2-0 and Kreider whiffed on the puck and didn’t even get a shot off. Something needs to change.

He’s immune through all of this don’t forget

Sarcasm ⬆️

Fox might be the biggest trade to do if this group needs a wake up call. THAT would be like an earthquake in the Ranger lockerrom

I don’t often agree with Larry brooks but I do today. Drury has to find out who’s in and who wants out!. If the players are upset about the Trouba situation and the way drury handled it that’s too bad. They get paid to play and produce put them on waivers and bring all the kids up (frank) them!

Drury has to go first. Then tweak. Yes it’s on the players, but any new blood coming in will have the same seed of doubt and lack of confidence with the GM/organization. Outsiders will see how this was handled and future players will want no part in it. Trading out players is only a bandaid… Drury has to go for the organization to show that we are a place that fosters competitiveness and positive culture. We talk all day long about how they should have signed so and so… perhaps the truth is, players know what it’s been like, and they want no part of it. That’s on Drury.

The way Drury moved Goodrow and botched the Trouba trade doomed this team. It is/was a very tight knit group. Even though Drury is trying to be savvy and make business decisions, he has taken zero account of how the locker room will be affected. To me, that misstep doomed this team. I don't know how he turns this ship around. The entire NHL is aware, and Drury will be hard pressed to be able to make trades where others aren't going to take advantage of the poopshow he created. Yes, these players are professionals, but this isn't 1970. Most are millionaires, and get butt hurt very easily. It seems that in their minds Drury broke some unwritten rule in regards to how he went about things, and now this team is truly fuuuuucked! This might be cause for a complete rebuild

100% I don’t blame Drury one iota for being fed up. You name the guy and he has every right to be fed up with him.

Not talking about the youth tho, talking about the staples of the team who’ve been around looking like for too long now

Maybe they're just not as talented, collectively, as everyone thinks they are? You can't win without depth at center, Zibanejad looks old, entitled, and disinterested and Trocheck is right behind him.
