I agree with this. If a player wants to be the highest paid player on the league, you’d better be putting up McDavid numbers (using this logic as an example). Highest on the team? You better be putting up the stats that back that up and justify. I mean other than his Vezina year (2021-2022) his stats haven’t been top of the league.

I said in 4 more years he when this team is ready to compete he will be 35yo. Do you think a team will be a Cup contender in year one???

the good news is that if Shesterkin's gonna become a goalie again of any team this summer giving him 12 million a year, he's going to have to start playing really well really soon
