Brukie said Shesterkin, who is 28 today, 29 in 2 weeks, will be 35 in 4 years

its that new math again!

Don't be so pedantic.

But for real, I am kind of looking forward to this place going absolutely insane. I need a break from all things Rangers.

wait what? they weren't going to go from winning the President's trophy and 2 games away from the Cup final to selling the farm this past summer
- jimbo83

Once Shesty said he wanted 12 million he should’ve been traded. That’s not selling the farm.

Correct; go back and check. I was saying before Askorov got traded, and the rumor was Shesty wanted 12 million, that if that were true, we should trade Shesty and get Askorov who requested a trade out of NSH.

yeah that's a good way for a team to sell tickets, get rid of the best goalie in the league before the season

some of you guys should consider taking this opportunity to switch to a smaller market team that always has a lot of draft picks and doesn't pay guys a lot of money

That’s the problem with the Rangers, they’re worried about selling tickets and not makin this team better. Always has been their downfall. Always have to have the big free agent signing, the aging “star” instead of making smart hockey decisions

Rangers are 3-9-1 verse teams with a better than .500 record

Just shows how easy their schedule has been to date to even be where they are right now

This could go way downhill fast

This team is broke and it couldnt be because of trading Goodrow and it certainly isnt because they all forgot how to play over the summer. Teams dont age en masse over a 6 month period. There is a reason they look disinterested and or refuse to go all out. Loyalty is a two way street and the way Drury has treated the vets Goodrow, Trouba and now Kreider, as well as contract negotiation with Shesterkin,,definitely has impacted morale. I know they are pro's but again loyalty is a 2 way street

I usually watch every game until the end. One of the few times I turned it off and watched football. Guys need to pull up their boot straps. If your but hurt because you didn’t like the way druey handle Goodrow and trouba maybe ask for a trade. Your paid to play. This isn't the only team that trades players who are popular. Still love the team in blue. Don't mean to sound so mean spirited, we’ve gone through to many coaches. Can’t always be the fault of management

Nashville traded him and signed their guy idk what to make of that other than he wasn’t ready. Even SJ has two guys playing ahead of him. He might great someday sure but now wasn’t the time for the rangers to get him

and it's not like San Jose got him for free

Rangers were gonna acquire Askarov back in August for their 2025 1st round pick and top prospects?

come on, good lord

We are what some people call a cluster(frank)

They do have time to figure it out but it definitely doesn’t look great. The optics are ugly. I guess the move they could do is fire Lavy and hire Peca. But does that change much of anything? Idk

I think the only way that could happen is if Drury and Laviolette have a real falling out

it's way too early in Laviolette's contract to already pull the plug on him, I believe he got 5 year deal

Who said future fall of famer? (Which he very well could be). Every Stanley cup winning goalie has been a hall of famer? Interesting, didn’t know that.
