This whole argument has a ton of hindsight to it. Sure now it looks like they should’ve traded Shesty. But no way in hell would taht have been considered a good idea after last years results. They were close and still in win now mode. If Drury had a crystal ball yea the argument has some merit lol

I’m not saying they should’ve done this now though. I said it before Askorov was traded over the summer. Ur brother is the hockeybuzz search master, I’m sure he can find out what I said and when I said it about Askorov.

I said before I would not sign Shesterkin to anything right now

but I certainly wasn't trading him in August and acquiring a goalie who was the backup in the AHL playoffs last year lol

I felt terrible last night when they were talking to that Garden of Dreams kid and his biggest dream was that the Rangers would win and it's like 4-1 Devils at the time

I find it very hard believe you wouldn’t be DESTROYING Drury right now if we didn’t have OUR 1st rd pick (not someone else’s) based on what the season is looking like. Throw in probably Perrault to get askarov. We agree he may be great someday, but the timing is where you are way off. We didn’t and weren’t going after a prospect at goalie.

I got a little nervous during the anthem. Thought it may get awkward then the kid started hitting the high notes

Ship Lindgren to Utah for Crouse. Recall Mancinni. Waive Vesey (he's been a shell of himself this year...a contract year).

now Crouse has been garbage this year and is 4.3 million next year and the year after that and is a left wing

Just thinking out loud..the only thing the org can really do to send a message is a mass healthy scratch.

Like Zib, Kreider, Panarin, Trouba, Miller, Lindgren, and yes even Fox…some of them, not all obviously. But that could wake them out if the slumber they’re in. Like a slap in the face like in the movie Airplane

It's a salary wash...change of scenery for both. Think Crouse plays both LW and RW.

Practice is over, Laf and Trocheck are horsing around, and someone shoots a puck that ricochets off the crossbar and nearly hits Laf in the head. He yanks his head back just in time to avoid it. Close call.

This won't fix everything, or even most of our defensive related issues, but we really need to get faster. This is not a scientific analysis but i feel pretty confident that we are slow as ass

Slow:
Mika
Kakko
Panarin (at least he plays slow)
Vesey
Fox
Lindgren
Trouba

Average:
Kreider
Smith
Laf
Cuylle
Carrick
Miller
Jones
Schneider

Fast:
Trocheck
Edstrom
Chytil

This is what happens when the tires falls off. All are trying to find where to point the finger of blame. (Except TJ, his finger is always somewhere else)

Anyone that has been part of a locker room on a competitive team knows that a losing culture is infectious and toxic. The core of this team has shown cracks in it's ability to overcome challenges and have the "win at all costs" mentality in the past. A lot of you have referenced this.
I still hold true to my previous opinion that the core of this team, Krieder, Zib, Trouba do not have the ability to lead this team to get over that proverbial "hump" to win the cup.
Sure, they will turn it around this season, but there are teams with hungrier core leadership that will oust them in the playoffs.

Kakko belongs in the middle now. Everything he is doing is faster now, thankfully.

hey that guy you wanted so bad that was traded to Minnesota, Jiricek, I saw the biggest drawback on him actually is his skating and that was the biggest problem Columbus had with him
