Okay, Jacob Trouba:

Hearing Rangers do have several options, but Trouba can block with his partial no-trade. Rangers have indicated they will waive him if he does not accept one. One team is believed to be Columbus.

This is absolute hardball, but there is a precedent. In November 2005, Todd Marchant refused to waive his no-trade from Columbus to Anaheim as part of the Sergei Fedorov deal. So the Blue Jackets waived him, and the Ducks made the claim to "complete" the transaction.

We will see what the day brings

One thing I've always found funny in the NHL is the owners asking Bettman to put in limits to contracts, NMC and NTC.

It's the GM you hire that give those contracts and your signature at the bottom.

It's like the people that ask the casinos (aka Pete's wife) to blacklist them so they can't gamble

Perhaps this is one way to do that, either taking the contract on right now (looking to flip at some point), or eating part of the cap hit to send him on elsewhere.
