EK up to his old self again...
"The Rangers clearly moved Trouba to get in fully on JT Miller who has fallen out a favor in the Vancouver big time after confrontations with Rick Tocchet.
No, the Rangers are not done. I am still hearing Kakko, a prospect and a pick to Vancouver" - Pacificgem
Yeah, throwing poop at the wall to hopefully get more hits. |

Fair points of course. I just feel his deployment and TOI could be handled better. Getting adjusted to different line mates this year too for Hogs is a factor plus he'll never succeed being buried in the bottom 6. I get it, you have to earn top 6 minutes and all but he also needs help. 25 even strength goals (to me) last year proves he is ready for more if utilized properly IMO. - LordHumungous
He scored a majority of his goals last year with Aman, Lafferty, Suter...etc in a bottom 6 role. He was elevated at times but always seemed to work his way back down the lineup.
The puzzling stat is 26 shots on goal in 25 games....simple solution more shots on net and stop taking dumb penalties.
I'd like to see him tried on a line with JT, and Boeser again or with Petey and Debrusk. |

That sounds good. Keep Shooter Suter with Garland and try Hogs with JTM and Boeser for a spell. Let it run and then yank the leash if he’s dogging it. |

Joshua is seriously struggling. Slow as poop and cautious on the boards. Maybe he wasn't ready to come back. Perhaps a few games in Abby was the way to go for him. With holes in the line up, the option probably wasn't much considered. |

Yeah I noticed he is at least a step and a half behind, but this always seems to be the case with players returning not in 20 game shape. But it’s now 11 games and he needs the next gear. |

I heard mgmt is waiting to move Hoglander until after the T Swift concerts. He’s got tix and is a pretty big swiftie. Wouldn’t be right to move him beforehand. - dbot

He looks a little too passive to me. He's hesitant to get his nose dirty in the places he made a living last season. There's been tiny little glimpses but not nearly enough. I think he needs something to happen within a game or practice that really pisses him off then we'll get the intensity. |

Picking up on what you've been saying about NHL game management. I got the sportsnet+ thingy so I can watch more hockey than just the canucks, and this whole referee game management is OUT OF CONTROL. Essentially, they are scripting the games.
I get that it's entertainment, but sports used to be so much more.

I use to be an obsessed NHL fan. I watched no less than 2 games a day if I could and followed everything NHL related. Now, if it doesnt have much to do with the Canucks, I'm not at all interested in the NHL. I'm basically just a Canuck fan when it comes to the NHL.
And then there's the politics of international hockey. They will ban one country for a invasion(Russia) and occupation of another nation but another nation like the USA invades one nation after another, occupying them long term and being responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths.... not even a consideration to ban that nation. It's pure BS. If it's justified to ban nations for war/occupation, USA would have been banned for decades up to this point. |

Gold is a mineral, not a color. Depending on it’s varied physical and chemical properties it will appear in a mixture of a yellow & orange hue.
It’s yellow….so STFU. |

Rumour Canucks chased Brock Nelson last year before settling on Lindholm. Maybe try again. |

Or, Tocchet could use Hogs properly and put him a position to succeed which would be nice. With Miller out this is also possible. But the doghouse it is for Hogs and a potential trade. After Hogs' last two seasons in Van he should be trending upwards not backwards IMO. - LordHumungous
It’s on Hog to play smarter & better not on RT to feature him more. You earn TOI. |

33 Year old rental, didn't we go down a similar rabbit hole with Lindholm?
Get a younger player with some term and be done with it.

Better than the wasted picks on Lindholm as it has turned out. The cap though we couldn’t sign Debrusk. Dominoes. |

He'd be a rental, sure. Would you rather sign a younger, better player with more term. Sure.
But he's had 3 x 30+ goal seasons over the last 3 years.
Just got selected to team USA.
Size and speed. plays C.
I'd be down to pick him up.
