He's really struggled this year, they needed to do something if they plan on having any success in the playoffs.

Sure but looking at team goals against stats, they were at league average 252 GA (league average 253 GA) last season and below the NHL average the season before 223 GA (league average 258 GA).

The situation doesn't scream poor goalie, great team. Again, there's only 10 goalies currently playing that have had a 40 win season.

That in large part has to do with the fact that the league as a whole has been trending towards splitting starts a lot more than ever before. Back in the day guys would start like 70+ games a year.

Georgiev is a pretty bad goalie, the Rangers were smart to move him when they did.

Cherry picking numbers doesn’t make Geoirgiev good. As you know Georgiev was not the Vezina finalist it was Demko.
