I think it's going to be hard to trade either goalie because of the term left. I agree the Pens will try to move one. The preference I'd imagine is Jarry, but Ned should be not easy but doable.

I said at the time giving two years to Ned was going to be a problem at some point because Jarry will be nearly impossible to move and Blomqvist didn't need two more years of development.

It was always the right decision to give Ned 2 years. Blom was still unproven this summer and if Dubas can’t get creative enough to trade a $2.5M backup when the cap will be $90M+ next year, he deserves to be fired. People here still think it’s 2016 with the cap…

We just got a third to take on Glass for 2.5M and he didn't have term. That's in 2024.

If Ned is considered a good backup league wide it isn't a problem. I'm not convinced he is much if any better than what you can sign for around league minimum. But Pens were comfortable with Ned and not with Jarry.

I wonder how Lizotte feels watching a turd like DOC chop the pick into a square playing with Geno.

Disappointed we couldn't pull off the win last night. Was happy to see Bunting score again.

Definitely not interested in GM fantasies. My boys hockey practices make it impossible for me to watch games on Tu, Th, F (live at least), hence I missed this one. It was already 5-2 when I got home, didn't bother watching the final few mins.

How'd we look? Were we totally outplayed, or was it just some combo of bad goaltending and the Avs high-end skill burying chances?

It's really the same old story. Bad tending and defense against a younger, skilled, determined team. Pens had some moments. It wasn't like that Utah game where they no-showed. A reminder of what a real contender looks like. Didn't watch it that closely, but I thought Jarry was bad.

Yeah I think he really wants that 1st goal and that sharp angle goal back. Those were both pretty bad. The others I'm not sure he could have done much on.

Pens tilted the ice for a bit in the 2nd, Bunting had a nice game, Lizotte plays 6 inches taller than anyone on the team, won a lot of pucks he had no business of getting too, Glass was elevated and immediately scored on a nice pass from Geno. Had DOC received that pass he probably would have fell down, he spent much of the game sliding around on the ice being out muscled by everyone. Sid looked completely uninspired.

Rantanen and Nichushkin had there way around our D and net. Clearly just stronger more determined men. Nichushkin went from a dead stop outside the blueline right around Petts I believe and tucked it in far side on Jarry.
