Forbort has been worse than Vinny in the games he's played. Both are terrible. - boonerbuck
The guy has played in 4 games so far this year. Its pretty hard to pass judgement on a player that hasn't played and he's been paired with the human pylon named Vinny. |

He got scratched early in the season. So I guess management was passing judgement instead of putting the guys out that gave them the best chance at winning.

Let's not give Vinny a free pass, he has been brutal more often then not.
If Forbort is ready to go for tomorrow, hope to see him and Brannstrom manning the 3rd pair. - claygolf83

Thanks NYN, this although is troubling, is the count down timer on this site? If you do decide to stop contributing with the game recap blog no one would blame you….(well maybe one of your fans) but the rest of us support your decision, it must be tough affording German beer without your HB stipend. - Makita
Not sure. Ek said he was going to pay me but then didn't.. hasn't read the messages I've sent but maybe is just a couple weeks behind on things.
And yes, my monthly beer allowance would take a big hit. How will I afford these 4 euro half liter beers at the bar now? Actually used some of the money to buy a new stick for the street hockey league here in Berlin... hockey supplying hockey |

Incorrect, after the Tampa game he left the team on a personal leave as his father passed away. He came back on the Cali roadtrip and played in San Jose and then subsequently got hurt at practice the following day.
At the end of the day we need an upgrade on the backend, give the guy a chance to get acquainted to his new team before everyone starts crapping on him. |

It’s painful watching the Canucks try and breakout of their own end. Glad they got a point out of that, relying too much on their top guys though, Petey over 23 minutes and Hughes almost 30 minutes. Need a more balanced attack. - Pacificgem
Having Miller back will help balance it all out. |

They need Miller and two more NHL caliber defensemen that can transition the puck better. The Canucks also look slow against a lot of teams, something that needs to be addressed. |

Not sure if y'all heard or not, but the Bruins took another one on the chin last night losing 8-1. Be sure to go over to their thread and say hello. Kinda like the old days when we used to battle in the Leafs thread. |

Tocchet began his availability today by telling us that Petey has bacon & eggs for breakfast 🥓🥚😂
As for Miller, he wouldn’t rule out JT playing tomorrow. Said they would talk tonight or in the morning to make a decision. #Canucks |

"It's a few guys that are repeat offenders, I think that's what upsets the staff," said Rick Tocchet about #Canucks giving up the guts of the ice.
"If you're [that guy], you've got to clean it up." |

Did you watch last nights post game presser? RT was giving it hard to a couple of reporters who won't stop hounding him about Petey every time RT is in front of them.... constantly baiting him to say something they can twist and turn. Good for Rick. These guys are scum just like the fools that guzzle that slurp.
I guess business is bad for the lowest of low in hockey media. People for the most part have backed off since Petey has stepped up in Miller's absence. They are trying to keep the brainless outrage alive. |

A guy from TNT was getting it too I think...
Petey has been the teams best performing forward. Debrusk as well but Petey is applied in more situations. He's the teams best penalty killing forward, just like last season through most of his struggles even...

Watch…the Penguins will tank and or win the lottery and get this kid. The next McDavid.
Gavin McKenna as a 16-year-old:
30 games
— 19 goals
— 60 points
— +24
— 1st in the entire CHL in points (OHL, WHL, QMJHL)
The last time a 16yo led the CHL in points was Sidney Crosby. |

Vilmer Alriksson has his second multigoal game of the year, thanks to two bumper spot goals on the powerplay.
He's close to firing at a point-per-game clip with 22 points (11G, 11A) in ~24 games. #Canucks |

The kid tore it up at 15/16 years old last season as well. 97 points in 61 games. He turns 17 this month. I think he's also Bedard's cousin. But he's gonna be far better than Bedard. He's a lot bigger and stronger than Bedard at that age. |

Forbort just isn't a very good defenseman, a #6 at best, but better as a #7, although he is a bit better than Branstrum |
