Defence being a major issue isn't a surprise, everyone knows the D is crap. The team thinks they can deal with adversity, they clearly can't. It won't get easier for them.

Putting players in positions they cannot handle is what cost them.

Rules committee really needs to address in OT taking the puck outta the O-zone all the way back to the goalie. Something like neutral zone ice only.

After the no Joshua goal they got to relaxed & let the Krak back into it. Took their foot off the pedal even when up 4-2 they were to casual not going for the empty net. No urgency

For sure JR PA have improved the team. Still lots of holes to fix. Injuries aren't an excuse.

Do tell lol. Sure they have made some additions/adjustments and Tocchet had an excellent year last year but may fall to the Jack Adams curse lol. We got Boeser Demko Miller Petey Hughes under Benning. Obviously the summer moves on paper looked decent but clearly losing Lindholm, Zadorov and Cole have been huge so far and yes agreed injuries are not an excuse but man a collapse like that in 7 minutes looks to be deeper. Pouty and now Pouty Miller distractions and room dissections...Tocchet needs to clean its all up and quick. Or someone is gonna get traded lol

Trade Miller ASAP please. The canucks went all in on team identity under Miller and this is the result. Emotionally unequipped to deal with any sort of pressure. Soft mentally.

In fact, I would dropkick this entire core out the door except for Hughes. That includes Demko too. Such a soft, disconnected, unlikable group.

Adding Debrusk Sherwood Lankinen & reupping Suter has been great. Those alone have upped the depth & quality. The D remake went backwards big time with Hughes/Hronek out proving it. The Petey/Miller circus has been a huge distraction.

So much going on, are they going to collapse or soldier on until they get some help and the top d back is the question. If they were better at pond hockey 3 on 3 they would be in much better shape.

I hope they don't trade away the 1st round pick this season. I'm not even sure this team makes the playoffs.
