I think they’ll squeak into the wildcard spot, but that d is sh!t. Not resigning Zadorov was a huge screw up, the guy has rockstar status with Canuck fans. Wasting money on Deharnais, Forbert, Myers to some extent was a mistake. Still time to add some decent D, it won’t be cheap but not impossible.

Adding Debrusk Sherwood Lankinen & reupping Suter has been great. Those alone have upped the depth & quality. The D remake went backwards big time with Hughes/Hronek out proving it. The Petey/Miller circus has been a huge distraction.

They’re on the right path, they have some great young players, a solid management group, they’ve just struck out with this defence, some key injuries and the coaching staff can’t get them to play defence collectively for some reason.

At some point they have to start making trades…this is a bad mix.
