Way overplayed in all situations with Hronek out. Now they are screwed with the current defenseman left. Can't go on with these 5/6 scraps playing 20+ minutes a night. They will fall out of the race without a deal being made. However now they are not trading from a position of strength, but panic and weakness. Watch out, that 1st round pick and all prospect options will be on the table. Scary...

Yeah I get that but just because your team can’t get the puck from the other team we don’t need to change to accommodate this, what’s next to suggest a 30 second shot clock, no back passes?

Bit of an overreaction I think, yes they should get another 2 quality defenceman, and the 1st round should be in play, but other roster players should be also in play, regardless of status, one of Pettersson or Miller would be my guess.

Still does not give them a capable top 4 option for weeks. All NHL clubs would be hurting losing their top pair, and without a big trade incoming they will drop out of the playoff race. Say week to week for Hughes is 10 games, with this D?

If they play the way they did for 55 minutes they will be okay but it was the struggling kraken they had nothing going, goaltending has to be good.

Minor….we still got this. I missed the game, was playing golf with my wife and a nice couple from Vancouver. They’re originally from Saskatoon Saskatchewan though, so very nice people. Not the typical Vancouver pretentious a-holes.

I see alot of excuses here. Sure Hughes and Peteys TOI were up due to injuries but good teams find a way to play through them. We just gift players 15 games off. All good. Good news is we are maintaining a WC spot with all this turmoil. Bottom line is that blown 4-1 game is either going to do one of two things...bring the team together for a PO run or spiral them even further down into Tocchets doghouses lol. See where it goes I guess.
