Kakko wasn’t gonna be tendered by the rangers. You have to get that through your head. Drury didn’t even draft the putz. I think he got a lot tbh if you consider that. He’s paying dearly from fans because of Gorton
Kakko sucks. He a dime a dozen player. Easily replaceable and he got two picks which you’ve complained about him trading lol - Slimtj100
You trade a moron like Smith Jones etc for “the picks I’ve been complaining about”. Kakko was having his best year and finally looked like he was turning the corner and playing on our best line the entire season. What’s that line done without him BTW? They don’t look the same, that’s for sure |

You’re missing the point. They’ve would’ve let Kakko walk for nothing. And he was doing better which wasn’t saying much. He still only had 4 freakin goals in 30 games. Enough was enough
I’d bet that Drury had tried to trade him since last year and this was the best offer he even got. Just because you think he was worth more doesn’t mean NHL GMs do. You don’t budge on this stuff. You’re wrapped up in him being a 2OA pick when he reality he’s a 32OA at best
Think about it, his “best year” is still .5 pt a game. This is after he was well into his 6th NHL season. They have wingers ready to take his place too. I think Berard sealed it where he was finally moved |

If they end up trading Kreider I’d bet Zib will approve some kind of trade. Maybe even together they’ll get traded for Miller or something.
There is a lot of smoke around the Canucks trading him and Miller and Petterson having a very difficult time with each other. Boudreau mentioned it and a few other places have said it
If you’re a ranger healthy scratch the chances of you getting traded go up a notch 😬🫣 |

Yeah, lets bring back JT Miller and double down on stupidity.
JT Miller fixes nothing. I'd rather they just poop can the entire roster. |

I didn’t love miller when he was here, but I’m willing to do something massive like that. As long as they don’t trade 1sts or prospects
How bout this for the new year lol
Miller and Tyler Myers or soucy
For Zib, Kreider and Keandre
If they got miller zib would have to be in the trade. But he may be willing to get out if NY because he has to be feeling the heat because everyone can’t stand him by now and it’ll only get worse

They may do something "big" to change the chemistry and mindset. He is a physical winger but he also has had locker room issues. Miller has grown since he was here originally but that would be material change. |

They went out and got BIG PHYSICAL defenseman. Dillon 6’4 225 Kovacevic 6’5 225 Pesce 6’3 210. Meanwhile ur all celebrating 5’9 120 lbs Zac Jones “not being the problem”. U don’t win with small soft defenses. The problem is staring u all in the face and u refuse to admit it. - nyrangers9479
No offense, but a big part of this is the Ranger's fault. After the Tom Wilson meltdown, you guys made some changes and played with some swagger. Trouba is a pretty hated guy in Devilsville, and you know why. Rempe is also. We took too many beat downs and head shots not to learn there had to be changes.
That said, I kind of feel for you guys. It's no fun when your team stinks. It's not like we didn't last season, and much of the last decade. I did enjoy the 5-0 shellacking we gave you, but this type of imbalance isn't good for the rivalry and I have too many friends who are Ranger's fans to just enjoy this. Good luck. I hope things get a bit better, because it looks brutal. |

Happy New Year Jan. Thanks for what you do every year. I will always love the Rangers, but they certainly deserve all the criticism. They look disinterested and soft. I think all gm’s are ruthless. They are not there to be their friends. As hard as it is to say goodbye to players we have really like, it’s all business and every GM thinks the same way. |

I’m gonna run my theory by you Jan
What Drury is doing is calculated and without regret. That he is so tired of this core blowing 2-0 leads and generally being soft that he’s basically blowing it up on purpose (with Dolans blessing) and sacrificing the season in order to get this core to all be willing to leave for new orgs. With that he starts fresh next year with the younger core and someone like Miller, an improved d corp and go to battle again.
I don’t think it’s that far fetched that this is all calculated once the Goodrow trade happened and the Trouba fiasco went down. Like next is Kreider and potentially Zib. Panarin might be safe since his contract doesn’t have much left on it, Trocheck too because he seems be far way from Drurys cross hairs and he signed him |

The thing with Miller is, it seems very unlikely that Vancouver would go 5-6-7 years with those two guys hating each other, and that is the tea (gossip). It probably had to do with Miller taking that leave of absence too. Their room is just as (frank)ed up as the Rangers is lol
To boot, Rutherford is the most aggressive GM ever probably lol and all the smoke around the rangers making more trades, inquiring about Miller only adds to it
Get yer popcorn ready! |

What the Devils did is what I’ve been wanting the Rangers to do. They went out and built a defense the correct way. Big physical players are a deterrent, just look at when Bertuzzi was chasing Zib behind the net and rather than get hit Zib just gave him the puck and Hall? I think scored. (And Bertuzzi isn’t even big, Zib just got scared). Physical players get into the opponents heads. The Rangers are a different team with Rempe in the lineup, but unfortunately he’s just a moron and can’t figure out how to stay in the lineup with all his antics. |

The career trajectories of Kakko and Puhljarvi are eerily similar (in a bad way obviously)
Take it into account when you’re freaking out trading Kakko, and how now Pool Party is the 13th F on Pittsburgh |

I don’t hate Borgen. I hate that he’s the return for Kakko. Borgen is the type of player I like, but he’s a little old (28) compared to Kakko. I also don’t think he’s very good at defense but we’ll see. - nyrangers9479
And kasko was not very good on offense |

Drury wanted to add those type guys but he needed Trouba’s 8 million to do it with but Trouba refused to be traded. He also didnt give his list of teams till after a lot of those players had already signed. |

Wishing Ranger fans a super soft holiday season. I have empathy for the fan base for the most tone deaf ownership and front office in hockey. |

Yes, Drury has proven he wants to add big physical players given his track record of Rielly Smith, Patrick Kane, Jack Roslovic, Alexander Wennberg, Chad Ruhwedle, Vladimir Tarasenko …….. you guys refuse to see it, he’s a terrible GM with ZERO plan. He could’ve traded Lindgren and signed Zadorov, he didn’t. So stop with the wahhhhh he couldn’t do a single thing! It’s nonsense!!!! |

Will Borgen, 6’3 204. Yea he sucks right now but so does everyone else.
Drury is trying to get rid of, and move on from, players he inherited for the most part and he’s seeing that them as a group of players can’t get it done.
Hes made a conscious effort to add and develop size/grit- Edstrom, Rempe, Carrick,, Trocheck etc. Roobroeck is another. These guys are huge dudes who haven’t fully developed yet
You simply are so stubborn that you’ll never get over 3 trades, really 4, that’s he’s made that either had valid reasons for, or was trying to win the cup. Which every single GM does at some point. It didn’t work out, but let’s destroy him over and over for it because he is tired of the core who continues to let us all down and he’s reached his boiling point imo
Btw, he’s gotten 3 draft picks in the last month for guys that either sucked, or gave up on his boys because he cant deal with the business part of hockey. Picks that you DREAD losing and never shut up about |
