Gauthier Cutter will have his best game this season (probably). - THE EVIL WITHIN I say a goal and 2 assists. The goal will be scored on a dreadful Drysdale giveaway.

Quitter has circled this game on his calendar? Why? He was never really part of the Flyers organization and it was his choice! Now he is circling the game like he has a vendetta or something? This kid is a complete idiot. Good riddens. He has no sense of professionalism whatsoever! |

Hmmm..Gauthier did want to play for the Flyers and was ready to sign. The Flyers said no and royally screwed up.
Based on projections. A player doesn't have to play a pro game to have a potential grade. You routinely give an opinion on Flyers prospects who haven't played a pro game. Why don't you hold yourself to the same standard that you hold others to? - MJL
As typical with you everything you said here is completely wrong! Quitter chose to not sign a contract with the Flyers and compete for a roster spot, and instead decided to go back to play college another year. He could have been playing in the NHL a year sooner! He had every opportunity to air his concerns to Briere and work out a deal. He chose not to. He had every opportunity to speak with two great NHL players that wanted to help his development and he chose not to. Stop blaming the Flyers for everything simply because they fired your hero who Sucked as a GM, and for that matter Sucked as a goalie also. |

If Gauthier was a Flyer, you'd be praising him as the next coming. It appears as though you have a vendetta against him. There was nothing vindictive at all in what he said and it was obviously simply an answer to a question about the upcoming game. There was nothing said that was remotely unprofessional. |

Gauthier was ready to sign a contract with the Flyers at the end of his collegiate season in the Spring of 2023, The Flyers said no. That is a fact that has been reported on by numerous highly credible sources. Before you post that something is completely wrong, you should have a grasp on the facts. Your continuous posting that everything has to do with Hextall is simply childish. Hextall won the Vezina trophy and the Conn Smythe as a goalie. LOL |

Oh please! Why circle this game versus any other. He was never really part of the Flyers organization. He chose his own path to the NHL and the Flyers accommodated him. The only way he should have answered is he is grateful to the Flyers for helping him fulfill his dream of playing in the NHL. That’s how professional athletes respond. When are you going to admit this kid has serious issues! |

It's simply a cliche to say that he was looking forward to the game. It's a nothing burger! Serious issues. LMAO

Hextall was a loser as a player and a GM! He is best known for leaving his crease to chase down Chris Chelios in the middle of a game. He was nothing short of an embarrassment! |

And why should the Flyers let him burn a year of his ELC? Now this kid with his 14 points in 35 games should be treated like Bedard? You don’t think the timing of firing Fletcher had anything to do with it? The kid is a complete joke! Circling this game, telling people there is going to be a lot of crying on Denver’s side before the NCAA finals game. Someone needs to shut this kid’s mouth and it may happen today. |

Why does every other team in that situation do that? Answer is simple. Those teams are smart and the Flyers are dumb and incompetent. You continue with hyperbole and ridiculous exaggerations.

You forget that its ok for them to let a year slide with Brink , Kolosov, and countless others over the years but absolutely NOT Gauthier.

Were those players under contract when they sent them back to juniors and under the Flyers control? The slide rule does not apply to NCAA players if Im not mistaken. Gauthier was unsigned and wanted to sign. All the Flyers had to do was say yes, burn off the first year of his ELC and he'd be a Flyer today. I didn't forget anything. |

Hextall had ONE good year and that was his rookie year in 1987. He was basically average (if not below average) from that point on. Troll!! |

We were there when he hunted down Chelios for a cheap shot on Propp earlier in the series. That being said, he was an ordinary goalie after his rookie season.

Hextall seemed prone to the weak goal...he would be lights out, and then let in a slap shot from the blueline...and the timing always seemed devastating.
I was never big on Hextalls game. |

I have no doubt Gauthier could have aired his concerns to Briere and the issue could have been resolved. He didn’t even give it a chance! Her refused to speak to the team and explain his reasons. That tells me he had no good reasons. Her can talk about circling this hanger in his calendar but the coward still does not state why he wouldn’t sign with the Flyers |

As previously noted Hextall won the Vezina and the Conn Smythe in his rookie season. In his career in the NHL, Hextall finished in the top 10 in All Star voting for goalies 5 times. He finished in the top 10 in Vezina trophy voting 3 times including finishing 5th in 95/96 when he led the NHL in GAA with 2.17. Anyone who says he only had one good season is woefully uninformed.

I was never big on Hextalls game. - TheFreak Yeah, unfortunately we were also present for one of his all time clunkers. Flyers/Devils Conference Finals 1995. Series tied at 2 and the game tied at 2. Hextall lets in an all time buffoon goal to Claude Lemieux on a shot from the blueline with 45 seconds left in regulation. Yikes!! That was devastating and basically ended that series. |

He could have negotiated this if he wanted to, hi didn’t even try! Look I told you quitter wasn’t even the 2nd best player on his BC team and he is already proving me right. |

I never said he only had 1 good season, but I think we can all agree his best season was his rookie year. I never really trusted him as a starter due to the weak goal issue that seemed to arise 4 out of 5 games.

It's a fair argument to say that the Gauthier camp could've handled it better. I agree that cutting off communication with the Flyers was the wrong way to go about it but it is within his rights as a player to do so. Not stating his reasons to the team, does not mean that he didn't have a good reason. Nor does it make him a coward.
