I mentioned Slaf because he also had struggles of his own. of course they could use Demidov next year lol, my point was they aren't forced to do anything about it right now, the answers will come from within the team.
- Pat1993

If they can draft a C at some point or if Dach can in fact turns things around. He might be a winger for all we know. They get another top pick plus another first round pick in 2025, so Im not too stressed.

It just that Mashadar has Demidov on the third line next season. I dont see the Habs having that luxury. I think Demidov will have an impact right away as well. Like Michov in Philly.

I agree, Demidov will start in the top 6, no doubt in my mind.

maybe Mash has a Russian background, and it turns out that the coach who's constantly reducing Demidov's ice time for no reason is his cousin...

it's too soon to give up on Dach, and Newhook would be fine in a bottom 6 role imho.

- Pat1993

Dach is way too injury prone so no thanks
Lots of guys in bottom 6 already especially next year so not sure where Newhook fits

Newhook will fight with Evans to see who is the 3 or 4 center.

I still think a Heineman / Evans / Demidov 3rd line next year would be a good place to start the kid.

Really like the way Heineman is playing.

- Mashadar

Same here ... he has a good shot and he's always buzzing in the opponent's zone.

As for Newhook, he's a big Meh from me ... if we're gonna have him in the bottom 6 then I'd rather have someone with more size and grit.

if the injuries were related there might be cause for concern, but it's just not the case for Dach. the same was also said about Evans. guys get hurt, poop happens, they recover.

Newhook is younger than a lot of those guys on the bottom 6, some of them won't be around forever. agree to disagree.

Both Hage and Demidov could make the team next season. Beck might get a spot on the 4th. I guess we'll see if they keep Evans or not.

one of the rare hockey teams to have worn white skates lol

- Pat1993

Charlie Finley owned the team and also the Oakland A's ... he was quite a weird character.

I was around 9 years old when the Golden Seals entered the league in the first expansion ... those white skates weren't very popular with the players and fans.

they lasted only 9 years in the league, then moved to Cleveland, and shortly after they merged with the North Stars. a glorious history!

And the North Stars moved to Dallas after a while

I wonder what teams will be in the next expansion. I would guess Houston and then maybe Atlanta. Would really like a team coming back in Quebec city, but I dont know that we will ever get it back.

it's okay gramps, I still appreciate you even if you're having one of those bad days that really old people do when they're in an unreasonably bad mood and just generally unpleasant to be around.
