If anyone was effected by Optimum cutting MSG...call them and threaten to cancel.
They gave me a $150 credit for the month of January. Waiving my bill & then some until they (hopefully) come to an agreement - NYR11

I think the issue a lot of people have is that this is the last year with Igor and Laf at their current contracts before they get their raises and was an opportunity to compete again.
Drury did what he did with Goodrow and while some people may not have loved it at least it was an offseason move. If he was hellbent on getting rid of Trouba, which I think a lot of people were on board with too, he should have made that happen in the offseason. I know he tried and it was blocked, but he should have pulled the waiver card then rather than wait until 20 games into the year.
Since then, we've gone into a tailspin and have completely sacrificed this season. Drury may have a plan going forward, but IMO it is fair to criticize how he's done this so far. Other teams that shake up their core like Florida recently did do so during the offseason and don't give up an entire season to see how things shake out. - SkjeiStadium
I think Trouba was traded because he wasn’t giving his best efforts knowing he was a dead man walking after the year and they’d rather not have that around. Since then seems like the whole team feels like that which is what we see on the ice.
I just look at the teams in the East and think to myself ain’t no way we’d be doing much this year anyway. So in a weird way it’s good year for this to happen
Our window for these guys was smaller then we all thought too imo |

He’s literally doing what you would do. You go on and on and on about this core and how bad it is and how it can’t win blah blah blah
All I’d say is wait til all the dust settles with this roster and judge it next season. And if Drury (frank)ed it up or not. Patience. This isn’t even his core for the most part, he inherited most of these guys. If you wanna get on him for one thing lockerrom wise it’s probably giving Trouba the captaincy. That may have backfired this year and they should probably name Trocheck captain, or someone. Not having a captain is probably a bad idea - Slimtj100
No he is definitely not doing what I would have done. Chemistry is vital for any team, he read the room wrong.
I would have given this group one more shot. Next year Igor and Laffy contracts kick in so it wasnt imperative to move anyone.
The team is a toxic waste dump now, its one thing to lose when you are young and learning, they are losing because they are emotionless zombies walking thru the season. Drurys actions are what destroyed the team. Even if he can offload Mikas contract, it wouldnt matter because there isnt a number one center out there to be had to replace him. The only thing would be, it will be the beginning of the changing of the core then. |

But you had to figure that Drury had these conversations with Trouba in the offseason and if Trouba only wanted to stay because of his wife and not because he wanted to compete with this team, Drury should have played hardball from day 1 and not let his attitude infect the team.
I see no reason why this roster couldn't compete in the East. Especially if they moved on from Trouba when they still had some time to use his cap space. Instead they replaced Goodrow with Smith which has been a net negative and Trouba hasn't been replaced. Of course this iteration of the team can't compete but Drury could have done more this summer to address that than he did and that is where the criticism is coming from. |

I’m just still really glad they freed themselves of the $3 million Goodrow was making which CLEARLY is what was holding us back. Not to mention, Drury did a great job using that $3 million wisely ………. /sarcasm |

The team won the presidents trophy last year. The only real difference on the team is smith replacing Goodrow and Chytill replacing Wennberg. Now they are a bottom feeder. How is this all Drury’s fault? It’s the same team. It’s ok to blame the players for sucking too. |

Players having temper tantrums and not wanting to play is not Drury's fault. And Lavi can only do so much when the core leadership pouts.
I for one don't condone professional players throwing temper tantrums to get coaches, GMs or any staff fired because of their feelings. |

Hmm think about it as having 11 million free next year (with Trouba gone too)
You have no patience. You may be apologizing to Drury eventually |

The same problems would’ve existed tho and it cost us.
I truly believe Drury concluded to himself this group couldn’t get it done after the Florida series. Think about it, 3 years in a row of disappointment and 2-0 series leads blown, almost blew a 3-0 series, no 5 on 5 dominance to speak of, etc. In hindsight, the devils series loss really set them back to where they are now. That was probably the year to win it, then Florida was a buzzsaw |

I think it's a combination of factors, and while Drury is not at fault for all, he doesn't get off scot free either.
If Trouba was moved this offseason, I wanted Matt Roy to replace him. |

Some of us have been saying it for years this team couldnt get it done. Patience for what? Drury traded Troube and KK for nothing. Trades are meant to improve the team. We've lost more than anything since those trades.
Cuylle and Chytil havent been the same players yet with KK |

The Trouba money needed to be for Shesty. But this year the money he hasn’t spent can be used as a hammer at the TDL for fascinating trades, getting picks back he traded away, and the patience from fans. And if they retain on their own guys that’s even better picks. He’s done a good job of getting cap space, people have to give him that. But they won’t because we suck as fans |

I think that Trouba trade really put this team into a tailspin. Only possible good thing that can come from it is that losing will get some players out of here. |

Chytil just played his best game of the year
And Kakko was traded for reasons that no one will ever accept 🤷🏻♂️ it’s all about how was still the 2OA pick and got nothing for him. And GMs don’t think that way |

What - picklerick
I don’t think the rangers had any intentions of QOing him therefore he’d have been a UFA.
Found this lol:
“In the National Hockey League (NHL), if a team doesn't qualify a restricted free agent (RFA) by the deadline, the player becomes an unrestricted free agent (UFA) two days later”
Point is between his attitude, and the wingers in Hartford, and Perrault, that haven’t gotten a chance yet, he wasn’t gonna be here anymore
Don’t believe me idgaf lol so he got 3 assets for a guy he’d lose for nothing. And one of those assets he could flip at the TDL for more assets |
