Tocchet needs to buck up as well and start utilizing his players properly. - LordHumungous
Disagree. A few passengers upfront have to get the lead out. On D it’s Foote & Gonchar who have to get more outta D. |

IMHO, if you are forced to trade Miller, given his age at 31 and 8M for 5 more years, it might not net you that much. If a younger, cheaper Horvat only got you a conditional 1st, Raty, Beaullivier, Miller will only get a prospect, much salary back and a low 1st or high 2nd. Other GMs know they have you forced in a corner.
That said, you should have an easy trading partner with the Rangers. Expect to get one of Ziba or Kreider back in a deal. A scenery change would help all players involved.
Although Petterson is 11.5M for many years, his age only at 26 in his prime and sick skills will net you guys a much better return. Though, I wouldn't want to trade him from the times I've watched you guys over the years. |

On Petey being introverted that’s his problem who cares but he hasn’t imo been upfront & honest enough when he has slumped. If Miller is in his face great cuz 11.6m isn’t immune from the flack. What other way is there to motivate EP other than kissing his ass?
On both their parts neither deserves the A for different reasons. Garland should prolly get one the other idk maybe Bleuger or Sherwood? |

Might as well include Boeser in any package if trading Miller. BB not the same player without JTM and avoids us overpaying BB. |

We’re going to have to give up a lot to get a top 4 RH D you have to draft them, teams know that. Hope they stay patient and wait till someone gets desperate. |

Can we trade you for Bedard - Reubenkincade
That's an interesting proposition. It's too hard to figure out if Bedard will become a good or great player at this point. At least for this and next year we have salary certainty as he's still on his ELC. Looking at McKinnon's, Hughes' and even Petty's first two year numbers, they are similar to Bedard. Can Bedard make the next step? How much better will he play with more talent around him? Have to admit it would be exciting for Vancouver fans to have a local boy as a star. Given he's the face of the Hawks' franchise and only 19, no move would ever be made. |

Keep in mind when comparing Horvat and Miller, Horvat was a pending UFA when he was traded to the Isles. Bo also never put up the consistent point production like JT. In a rising cap environment JT signed at 8MM is a relative great salary today however in the later years of his contract may not be as attractive. Having watched both play i will gladly take a roster full of JT's over Bo 7 days a week and I think most front offices see the same thing.

True. It's been rumored he's unhappy with the quality of the team around him. |

Good point. Agree about the cap and thanks for the insight of Horvat v Miller. |

Not even half way through the season. Clearly not the whole reason this season has gone downhill, but injuries are definitely a part of it. - NewYorkNuck
Last year everything went their way, this year almost nothing has gone their way(aside from the Lankinen/Sherwood signings). I think the true level of this team is somewhere in between |

Petey hasn't been honest? The problem is his knee, always has been, and he has told the media repeatedly that it is the case. The stats are there to back it up too, his average skating speed is the lowest it's ever been this year. |

It’s more than his skating speed is off. His puck possession skills have fallen off or at the least let him down more often.
On the PP he’s less lethal & assertive.
Zone entries are nothing special.
I said it last season & say it again it’s between his ears. He has helped himself getting into funks.
His D hasn’t suffered & he’s still playing some smart coverage & puck hawking. |
