Another narrative is the lack of shots on goal. I know it doesn't always tell the story, but they seem to be sub 5 in the first period a lot. They rally with some later in the game to make it look respectable, but so often half way through the game they barely have 10 shots. Dunno if they're banking on last years shooting % or what.

Canucks are 3rd last in total shots per team, only Montreal and Detroit have taken less.

Weren't we assured that last season wasn't an anomaly and players that had career years were only going to be better this season?

Looking for the extra pass too often, missing the net & overall simply just don’t let it rip enough. It all starts off with break outs & after Hughes it is pretty bad. End up mucking it up & lose too many puck battles.

Imo more than lethal enough up front if they get greasier goals from the forecheck & get more shots through on net.

Being able to carry puck over blue line is a huge problem, this team has 3 players fully capable of that, even with everyone healthy.

Garland Miller and Hughes.

Hard hitting first was entertaining.

Hogs having a heck of a game so far.

QH not dominant but good to see him back making some moves. We need a PP for him to break some ankles.

Wow JL on fire. Two shifts rushing the net gets an apple and goal. He sure brought some much needed offensive flare.

Nice release while looking off the Goalie and Dman. That shot to the blocker side just over the pad is almost unstoppable when it's on target.

Totally agree. Zone entries lacking on 5v5 even on the PP.

It was the Habs Dman's fault for not angling him out better on the 2 on 1.

Rare to see him lose his net like that.

Lankinen over extends laterally a lot. I've been talking about it all season long. He recovers often enough but also he is lucky while out of the paint quite often as well. Quite a few goals on him this season show in the replay that he wasn't even in the crease.

Really liking Sasson’s game. Steady & smart poised style. Fitting in very well.
