“The Canucks are definitely, definitely looking at the market for both players, and you should be prepared for all outcomes. There’s really three of them. Neither gets dealt, one of them gets dealt, or both get dealt.” - @FriedgeHNIC on the Miller, Pettersson situation #Canucks
It’s rare, but it has happened before, stop being so stupid. The Flyers traded Carter and Richards away, the Sabres traded Eichel and Reinhart away, the Bruins traded Lucic and Dougie Hamilton away, they traded Seguin two years earlier. it happens. - Pacificgem
Nice example from 14 years ago 🤡. Also, Richard’s was dealt because he is a drug addict. |

So why did Miller quit on the team? Was it a time out enforced by the team? Was it a mental break requested by Miller? Or was it wife issues? It’s not usual for a “team leader” to take a mid-season break.
At least if he was a drug addict seeking help I could accept but the excuses I listed above make be believe Miller is a mentally weak bit ch. |

Is he really? Born in Quebec, not really part of Canada, raised in Illinois.
Great young player, regardless. |

Miller said in an interview responding to the rift with Petey rumors it’s all media BS he has enough to worry about the stuff between his ears. Which alludes to mental health and I thought that was more respected in Canada than drug addiction?
Why Miller should tell you his business to alleviate your opinion of him doesn’t fit with hockey. He had to take a break. Got permission and blessings and is back. Hope the rest of the rumor mill can deal with it.

Yup. For the players, coaches, management, and fans. They need to nip it in the bud ASAP - NewYorkNuck
Yep, I was excited coming into this year. Lankinen holding the fort made me even more so. I figured the potential downfall would be the blueline, but also expected a trade to address. Did not foresee the downfall being real or rumoured personnel drama ripping the team apart. |

If the brass wants to keep both Miller and Petey, maybe they should hire some new PR people because the ones they have absolutely suck - NewYorkNuck
Not keeping it internal in the room was a big screw up. Letting it go public only adds to the problem. Oh well it makes the hens happy to talk about it lol |

Idk if the reason will ever be fully disclosed & not going to speculate. I’m not sure if Miller has quit on the team rather something seems to be weighing heavily on him. Has anyone ever faced something along those lines & still functioned on a high level? |

Demko’s return has been underwhelming & the continued laying eggs at home has been a big problem. The PP hasn’t been as good as it can be. Chasing games a lot. All adds up to where they sit now. |

Breaking news on the #Canucks: Turns out JT Miller and Pettersson are having an affair. Explains all the tension, it's sexual.

Be prepared for one of three possible outcomes. Petey breaks up with Miller. Miller breaks up with Petey. Or they stay together. |

Not sure why a mutual decision to explore other opportunities outside of the relationship, is not being considered. |

Utah has like 11 of their next 14 games at home. Canucks have a tough roadtrip and remaining schedule, after a pretty easy 1st half. |

I figure Demko will get better for starters & Lankinen already playing well. On D it can improve a bit if cleaner breakouts & less dump it out. Upfront the top 6 has really yet to get it going enough while the bottom 6 has played well overall. |

1 more puck moving top 4 D could really change everything. Even if it costs a top 2C it’s a net gain with Suter Bleuger Sasson supporting the top C.
Still needing to see more out of Joshua plenty of time has passed since returning. Hog just needs a break but still he needs to be a better pest. |
