Highly unlikely. He's been eligible for an extension for a very long time. Had they given him a better offer, he'd already be signed. They allowed it to get to this point. And now he's playing them into a bigger cap hit. Or let him walk for nothing which would be the absolute dumbest thing they can allow.

It's a welcome occurence. Their offense from the back end is pretty poor, but I think the entire team is trying to focus more on defense.
