Thats why they got back into the mix, they were far behind at some point. The games mean something, that was the point. You have to make the difference between the direction of the team and the players as well. Of course the players want to make the playoffs. If you have ever played hockey or a sport, you would know that losing suck and losing a lot suck a lot. It ruined my summer as a kid when we kept losing every god damn game. This is their life.
But Hughes knows the rebuild is not over and thats why he is very cautious when he gets asked what he will do at the deadline. But he said openly he is not ready to pay a high price for a rental - deadpoulet
oh absolutely, I don't see him selling the farm for a rental. he'll stick to the plan.
doesn't mean he couldn't make a trade if the price is right. just like he could deal Evans and Savard. we'll see where they are in 2 months.
but let say that at the tdl they are still 1 point off a playoffs spot... I think he'll keep all his assets (Dvorak, Armia, Savard...) won't trade anyone. and may get some help if the price is right. probably a dman. |

Indeed ... if we make the playoffs then I'll consider this a bonus.
The rebuild is not completed yet ... lots of young players will eventually replace others.
PS: Pezzetta is as good as gone ... he's a useless penalty taking machine. - Garfield512
He’s been useless since Jackeye cracked the line up.. |

Dach and Newhook really need to get going for Habs to make playoffs, we need at least 3 goals each game to win |

Good game.
As long as they keep playing that hard, win or lose is fine with me. |

Feel like Monty doesn't have that killer instinct (he played well for sure) that goal by Benn he should have had. Also odd that Laine, Caufield and Suzuki all stoned wall in shootout. Not sure why Caufield and Suzuki all skated from outside in the shootout as soon as I saw that knew they would miss |

Totally agree but I hope Dobes or Fowler take over the reins soon, maybe the former in a year or so |

It was a 2 on 1 and it was a shot in the slot from a guy who had no pressure, so I have to disagree.
+ Monty saved a few goals before it went to the shootout. I know you dont like him but your bias really show in here. He was the first star of that game last night, the right pick. |

Look at the play again, Guhle was there to cut the pass so he was focusing on the shooter, same thing happened on the 3rd Vancouver goal a few days ago, go look at it |

He probably started the beef between Pettersson and Miller. I mean, how can you deal with a guy like that on a day to day basis? Fuuck him |
