i have more questions about this one.

the clicky switch selects bridge pickup, neck pickup, or both pickups and the knob is for volume, right? what about a tone knob? why do some guitars have a bunch of knobs and some have just one? i learned about the stackable knobs when i got the ibanez bass. are the knobs multi functional like that when i see a guitar with one knob?

I can answr whatever you need. You're probably looking at a pick-up switch that can operate so many different ways... split coils and configurations and whatnot.. all which leads to tone and tone choices

yes. it seems like a toggle switch does the pickups. reading about it, i saw one with a slider switch because the guitar had 3 pickups so it needed 5 settings.

about these knobs. the usual knobs are volume and tone, right? so one switch and 2 knobs. what is that third knob on some guitars? is it another tone knob and if so, what does that mean?
