Next year we have Demidov coming in and he would have one year in his belt when Laine contract is up. Also if Hage and Beck are ready we will have a solid 3rd and 4th line centre. The question is more for 2C who will that be and who can fill in for Laine after next season depending on his durability

They could be a contender sooner with Laine AND Demidov than if they have to wait a few years before a prospect can have an impact on the team. Look at Slaf after two years and a half and how long it can takes.

I think they will be patient with Dach. They traded a high first round pick for that guy and he missed a full season. He has been playing better lately.
