If trouba made $5m my guess is he would never have been captain and he’d still be here. From the moment he was named captain I felt like they pushed hard for him to be it to retroactively help justify his cap hit (it didn’t. He’s gone). Like he was obviously looked at as having leadership qualities, but it should’ve been kreider

Kreider yes because of longevity but he wasnt exactly a phenominal choice either cause he had a long track record of inconsistency and getting in his own head. How you gonna lead others when you cant even manage yourself?
