Not even close. But somebody else who showed up yesterday has probably milked it out of the broken system though.

But yeah, feds gotta print more billions. Just print a trillion. Cut to the chase.

Keep that inflation inflating!

- Rare_Jewel

And yet you know nothing about inflation either.
Surprised

Cool, that's on top of your taxes, but yeah, keep educating me about something I've lived.

But you're alive. I've got people close to me dead and others who are waiting or working in a system where "universal" has led to wasting most people's money and costing other people their health and lives.

Coming from the guy who supports "budget will balance itself".

I'm not surprised you failed the economics part of this discourse.

Print more fiat currency, nothing bad can happen. History proves it.

BS.
What you're describing is a provincial issue. What province are you in?

Ive never ever said budget will balance itself.

Lets be serious, youve never opened a history or economics book since you graduated high school in grade 10.

$2m per year over 5 to years will definitely.
- Fakepartofme

It really doesn't. You can already afford the fancy stuff in that bracket of income. You'd need to be making 20 - 30 million to hit another level of yacht and home.

You're too much man.

But, I love you anyway.

I'm 54. Nobody around me has died. We are all alive. What a time to be alive! I might live forever.

Serious question: Is what the Leafs doing right now working?

Another serious question: Do you think the other 31 teams have the resources the Leafs do?

- Rare_Jewel

Ah yes. Avoiding the question to incite trolling.

Im sorry but an exra $10m - 16m over 5 to 8 years is still a huge chunk of change. These guys arent making $20m plus per year.

You can get a nice small yacht for $4m-ish and a nice place in europe for another million or so.
Even a nice cottage in muskoka for $2m.

Thats a big chunk of change to give up.

But i would love it, if he did....so would most leafs i would think.

Just saying that if anybody is sick of living in socialist Canada, they have a guy inside libertarian Florida who can help with the logistical issues of moving down here, answer questions, give first-hand advice from a long-time resident, etc. There's some nice properties for sale down here.

It's fun the bruins kind of suck. They don't really have guys to trade away at the deadline to recoup some draft capital either

It is great, isn't it?

Been waiting a long long time for this. I'm gonna savor it.

Gonna be hilarious when Tampa cashes in those games in hand, leapfrogs them, and then watches them get eliminated by the Leafs in round one. (* chef's kiss *)

Tennessee is better. Less extreme weather, fewer deadly animals, better prices and slightly better policies with less people.

Florida is fantastic though, been many times for many vacations. Definitely top 5 destinations for escapees. Know a lot of people who escaped Canada to Florida 4 years ago. Best decision they ever made.

Tennessee has poopty winters, but no hurricanes. No state income tax, which is nice. Inflation is lower than Florida and property taxes are probably lower. So yeah, if you don't mind being landlocked, Tennessee is probably the better option. You can even watch Stamkos at home.

A lot of transplants get sticker shock and second thoughts, especially post pandemic. Home insurance rates are (frank)ing insane down here. They might be rethinking when their annual insurance premiums are north of $100k close to the beach. That's a real thing happening now - people and retirees being priced out of their homes and condos by insurance rates. If you are wealthy enough, it's not an issue though.

poopty winters compared to what? Florida? Or Canada? I think your average Canadian wears t-shirts in Tennessee winters and doesn't blink.

Insurance is going to be crazy any time you live in a natural disaster area. That's why I'd prefer it for vacations unless you had something 1000% stormproof.

Let's look at this in the larger picture. 5 year deal at 11 million is $55 million. Which of those things you mentioned can he not afford already at 55 million that at 65 million gets him? That's my point. He can already afford the nice things. He doesn't need a 2nd or 3rd yacht. You can only be on 1 of them at a time anyway.

It's balmy by Canadian standards, but poopty by mid-south US standards. I lived near Memphis for a while, the sleet and icy roads sucked. It's a wet and sloshy winter cold. Not quite frozen solid, but slushy poop.

Home insurance rates in Florida are the highest and unsustainable. The industry is broken down here and the state government is too retarded and corrupt to fix it. The next major disaster will bankrupt the system.

I had no idea that insurance would be so costly. It’s a no brainer that you would pay more but that’s just crazy.

And in sure youve used half a million in healthcare in your lifetime.
The problems you deacribed are because of provincial governments. Ford hasnt used the billions the feds gave him.....well he hasnt used it for healthcare.

- Fakepartofme

Hes used half a million in failed psychology treatments, all on our taxpayer dime.

Pretty easy to act like a (frank)ing idiot on a message board all day at that point complaining about your ill treatment, isn't it.
