We’re basically saying the same thing it appears, except I think rempe doesn’t add anything anymore
- picklerick

Rempe needs time. A lot of you guys seem to have written him off already. We’ve seen when he’s on, and playing clean, that he can cause chaos. Especially in front of the net. He’s just raw and not ready for a regular shift yet. He may never be, but he’s definitely an NHL caliber player if he can play responsibly

Refs don’t help either because some of this is simply a bad reputation already. But he does need to walk the line and I think he knows that at least, as does Lavy.

Writing Rempe off at this point would be foolish. Give him an extended look, who’s he taking time from? Vesey? Lol.

Im indifferent on Rempe, let him play and we will see. If it doesnt work out, I dont think it will be difficult to find a 4th line replacement.

Idk if he’ll be able to play in the NHL or not eventually, but it’s certainly not now. I am down on his ability today. I don’t know the future. Let’s not make this another thing

They obviously believe in him somewhat or he would never be getting call ups

Your wet dream should be a line of Edstrom Roobreock and Rempe. Thats like almost 20 ft of player they all just need time to develop more

Just conversing man

You’re right where he may not be NHL ready yet, but the case can be made where he can be a full time 4th line guy down the road. Hell plant his ass on the PP in front of the net and dare the goalie to follow the puck around him. He’s got decent hands if nothing else

What toughness thing? This team is softer than baby poop. The Reaves thing? I’m not talking about a plug. I’m talking about toughness throughout the lineup, all 4 lines with guys like Trochek Cuylle Berard Schneider etc. Not everyone hs to be able to fight, but just be able to play with that edge. Our top 6 is probably the softest in the league. You see the difference when Rempe is out there with other teams; they notice and it’s uncomfortable for them, Rempe just needs to get better and not take dumb penalties.

As I said in a previous post, the league has changed, and although the physical/gritty element is needed, guys who are excellent skaters is the biggest priority. Not every line is going to be a physical force, but if that physical force is supplemented by guys who can dominate possession with smarts and skating abilities, that is a big element too. One of my favorite players ever, Datsyuk, not a particularly physical player, but mentally outrageously gifted, an excellent puck handler and skater.

Berard is exactly the kind of player they need in the lineup, terrible.

Longshot possibility is a 2 for 1 trade and we need a roster spot....

I wonder if there’s a cap or waivers reason for this? Feel like something similar happened to another player recently.

If not, unbelievably idiotic to take him out of the lineup.

I think it has something to do with JBrod because i believe he has to clear waivers.

Coach says they needed another center with chytil out even though we have Mika, Trocheck, JBrod, carrick and then edstrom and rempe can also play in a pinch. Then they chose rempe over berard

Ideally, I’d like to see Edstrom and Roobroeck eventually (2-3 years) being on the 3rd line with Rempe on the 4th. But for right now, I’d take a consistent line of Edstrom Carrick Rempe. I’d actually try Edstrom with Panarin and Trocheck and see if he can add something to that line.

He now has 7 points (3 goals 4 assists) in 10 games. Depending on what happens with Borgen it could go down as a really bad trade by Drury

It’s a bad trade even if he stays a 3rd liner
