I told you all what he was at BC and no one listened. You saw it on full display last night. Besides being a complete and total disaster in his end, where he lost puck battles and had several give aways that directly lead to Flyers' goals, he is a perimeter player that has a lot of shot attempts and very few shots on net. He will shoot from anywhere. Not once did you see Cutter inside the dots last night, same as it was at BC. You see guys, when I watch hockey, I look for things that matter, not naturalstattrick numbers. Does the player win puck battles? Do they play between the dots? Do they not panic in their own end? Are they predicatable when they have the puck? Do they see the ice well? Can they keep up and play at game speed? You can only see these things by, you guessed it, watching the game! The fans wantd desperately to Boo Quitter when he got the puck, but he had the puck so infrequently, they had to Boo loudly just when he stepped on the ice. And I love the treatment Risto, the Flyers best defenseman, gave him also. - jd250

I have to remind myself that we can't give up on Drysdale. He is only 22 years old and with his skill and if he can stay on the ice, he still has time to develop into a solid NHL efdenseman that can put up points. He needs about 300+ NHL games before we can truly see what he can be. He is never going to be a lights out defenseman in his own end, but he has time to learn how to use his stick better and get into better position, plus he will continue to get stronger physically. And the offense will come once he gets the confidence he can play solid in his own end. - jd250
I have to laugh. Can't give up on Drysdale. He's only 22. Still has time to develop. He needs 300+ games before we can truly see what he can be. Just needs to work on areas of his game and get some confidence. After all, Drysdale is a Flyer!
Cutter Gauthier however, after watching one game, he's 20 years old and has played 42 NHL games. He's a disaster and he is what you told us all he was at BC. Never mind that he was a finalist for the Hobey Baker award. That very fact tells us a couple of things. One that Gauthier was an elite NCAA player and that you have zero ability to accurately assess anything in hockey. He's not a Flyer though and he spurned your team. So like an adolescent teenager who got dumped, you whine and cry about it.
It's just more inconsistency. Your comments are not serious comments.

You told us all what Jay O'Brien was also. How'd that turn out? We have years of evidence of you telling us all that shows that you can't tell anyone anything. Starting with thinking one game shows what Gauthier is going to be , You say same as it was at BC. He was a finalist for the Hobey Baker award. One of the 3 best players in the NCAA. He was one of the best players in the year end tournament.
You don't make serious comments and your not a serious person. Nobody is going to take you serious because your either completely clueless or you're just trying to troll. Your comments show that you're incapable of watching the game to see things. Gauthier had one nice scoring chances in the game in between the dots. The comment at the end, probably decides it. I enjoy the entertainment. - MJL
And how many BC games did you watch last year? Quitter was far from one of the three best players in the NCAA. Quitter wasn't even the 3rd best player on his BC team. Just like you comment on games you didn't even watch, now you are commenting on a player you NEVER watched. |

This is more of the same along the lines of Tortorella was the hands down winner of the Jack Adams award

- glad to see a big win over one of the league elites
- sam stood on his head. well-earned against a top team.
- games like this is why you dont trade Scott Laughon or a Nick Seeler. the embodiment of what it means to be a flyer.
- every point matters. they need to circle the wagons. the CO-GM needs to help these guys out, bring in some reinforcements.
- ollie killed it in his minutes.
- the amount of focus by the announcers on cutter was comical. wonder what they were told prior to the game. really sad this is all they have as cant sell the talent.
- how can you not like this team? they are by far the hardest working team in the nhl and maybe all of sports. the culture and winning atmosphere is being established for future flyers.

- glad to see a big win over one of the league elites
The Flyers played a very good game.
- sam stood on his head. well-earned against a top team.
And as JD pointed out he appeared to exit in one piece.
- games like this is why you dont trade Scott Laughon or a Nick Seeler. the embodiment of what it means to be a flyer.
More about Laughton….he was very good and along with Konecny and Sanheim stuck up for the organization….a little corny. At least it looks like they give a shiit.
- every point matters. they need to circle the wagons. the CO-GM needs to help these guys out, bring in some reinforcements.
Don’t be silly.
- ollie killed it in his minutes.
I said don’t be silly
- the amount of focus by the announcers on cutter was comical. wonder what they were told prior to the game. really sad this is all they have as cant sell the talent.
That was a little over the top. Even for the Homers.
- how can you not like this team? they are by far the hardest working team in the nhl and maybe all of sports. the culture and winning atmosphere is being established for future flyers.
- - hello it's me 2050
For the most part the effort is there. The skill is not. I do think they have some pieces and as the two year evaluation continues, hopefully some clearer pictures will emerge and DB can start the rebuild. |

No argument…Guathier was virtually invisible all game and did not want to engage in anything physical….it sticks out like a sore thumb when the game itself was very physical. That said…Guathier is soon to be 21, and has a half a season of his pro career under his belt. He, like all rookies will need to figure some things out, but he has all the raw skill to become a good if not very good NHL player. I did see him go to the front of the net several times, and in the 3rd period he seemed to attempt to engage.
It was a tough spot for him, one he brought on himself. If he does have an attitude issue, the NHL has a way of straightening those things out. I will always be disappointed in the Flyers for not getting that circumstance figured out…regardless of what I now think of him the organization was hurt…at a time the can’t afford to be hurt if they want to get to a competitive level. |

They do need some luck. But they also need a solid plan and solid decision’s. |
