You are eternally the optimist and I forgive you for that!!!

You even dragged me to being optimistic last year...But it wont happen again!!

Yes Carrick seems to be a good pick up but lets see if he does it in the playoffs like Goodrow did, Goodrow was brought in to be a playoff performer, not regular season guy, we have Mika, Panarin and CK20 for the regular season!!

For the Carrick signing you forget about the Wheelers, the Pitlicks, the Boninos, the Gustafssons.

Sooner or later one will finally pay off.

Im not mad at Drury for the signings, Im pissed how he handled the Goodrow and Trouba situations which had a super dreadful impact on the team.

- Brukie

Well they’ve gotten past it all it seems like

I appreciate you handled my post with class today

Lindgren Smith Vesey and should all go. Borgen is 50/50. Miller kireider zib are summer discussions most likely. Lindgren would have been resigned this offseason if they wanted him long term. One year deal was pretty telling imo

I think Borgen has made Miller better. Like we pine for a better partner for Fox, and I think they may have finally found one for Miller. Miller has looked much better recently

I’d be very surprised if Borgen isn’t re-signed, especially because they traded Kakko for him and it would ease the pain fans are feeling.

Idk I didn’t blame him at all last night. And he isn’t making that yet lol. I do call him out when needed but I didn’t think last night was one of those nights

I thought he was out goalied last night

That's the most hideous stuff I've ever seen and it has nothing to do with the Rangers. It's just branded with Mike Tyson saying "kiss" across it and looks like a coked up autistic kid designed 99% of it
- eichiefs9

Have to agree here, it's atrocious.

Maybe they'll do an Isles collab.

Yeah everyone comparing Borgen with KK trade, apples and oranges. 2 draft picks to go with it also pretty good.
Borgen playing pretty well and also adding some physical play. KK doing his thing out west that he wasn’t able to do in NY for 6 years. Wish him luck. Borgen can be a regular if he’s not traded at the deadlin3.

Larry Brooks confirms what I was saying about Bread and Laf: “ Five-on-five: Panarin 0 goals/8 games, 1/16, 3/22, scoring in two games; Lafreniere 0/3, 2/17, 3/25, scoring in two games. What is going on here?”

It’s not for everyone but at least we have cool young fashion brands collabing with our team. Must suck only having Johnny’s clam shack branded islanders mini sticks

I agree. I think he can be a regular, and if it makes miller better good on that.

Was just chatting with a coworker about this. Colorados star players were a threat whenever they’re on the ice. Rangers just don’t have that right now. Thought both had prime chances last night, just continuously missed the net or were a second slow. Laf is the most concerning, it’s unfortunate he’ll likely never take over a game in the way MacKinnon does.

MacKinnon is unreal!
Would love for Laf to continue on the the trajectory he was on before the teamwide slump. He will probably never be in the same class as Mac, he will probably be a solid player.

Borgen Miller could be a fine 2nd pair. And I have to be honest, Fox has looked like absolute garbage this year. He looks slow and gets beat on plays he never used to get beat on. Forget his offense which has regressed a bit also, but he definitely doesn’t look anywhere near the Norris Trophy player we’re used to.

Fox looking like garbage is still top 12 worthy. He will never block shots, hit or clear the crease. He retrieve pucks and moves them better than anyone on the team. Limit his PK time and find him a dpartner that does what he cannot do well

You’re preaching to the choir on this one. He does look better recently, but the whole team does. The heat he doesn’t get here is crazy compared virtually every other player. I don’t get it lol

I know im crazy, but I think the smartest thing they could do is trade Fox if they want to retool. Because he has too many years left and way too much money, and he could easily get us the most assets back in a trade

They won’t trade him but I think it will be a mistake down the road

He’s making 9.5 million bucks. It’s the same argument you had with Trouba. He makes too much money for what he brings. It as simple as that. I’d expect Makar for that much, which he did for like 2 seasons, but he isnt anymore.

Igor did not play bad but he’s the reason they lost. Did not come up with the big save when they needed it
- nyrangers2

How many breakaways did they have? 3 or 4 1 in OT. Not scoring on those is why they lost
