Is that why your team blew a 3-2 series lead? - ALEDDO
They blew that lead thinking about MacTavish killing a woman drunk driving. |

Weird thing for your team to be thinking about, maybe they need to concentrate better. You should send them to a concentration camp

I also like that you think that somehow bringing up something that happened 40 years ago to someone who hasn't been affiliated with the Oilers in some time is some sort of gotcha moment lol

#NHL players have been notified escrow withholding from checks will be terminated for the remainder of this season starting with Jan. 30 payroll run. Revenue projections indicate amount already withheld will also be returned in full following final season accounting.
Related: Final 2023-24 accounting of HRR has not been settled, but players are projected to receive full 6% back plus an additional 1.5 to 2% on top of that. In other words, players will be paid 101.5 to 102% of their published salaries from last season because owners collected more than their share of the 50/50 split.
Think of it like paying your taxes. If you are getting a refund, that means you’re giving the government an interest-free loan. In this case, lag formula has created environment where salary cap is (by design) artificially low and players are underpaid relative to revenue being collected. |

Demko starts tonight. Juulsen out again. For what it’s worth, Tocchet told Finnish reporter he wasn’t sure if Lekkerimaki is playing tonight. Lekkerimaki only #Canucks skater on ice with goalies this morning |

When Miller is on, he's an absolute beast and he's 100% the kind of guy you need leading your team in the playoffs. Unfortunately he's sort of an amplifier: when things are good they're great, when they're bad they're terrible. He doesn't seem to have the ability to control the impact of his emotions, or so this season is making it out to seem.
Last year turned my opinion completely on him to not trading him at all. But this year he and the team are such train wrecks that something needs to happen... it doesn't seem like something that's going to work itself out unfortunately. Makes sense the rifts in management and probably the room are impacting the whole shebang.
Miller will definitely rebound wherever he lands, which will bring a whole lot of remorse for the fanbase, so hopefully the return is good enough that it covers that. - NewYorkNuck
I was in same boat. I really couldn't stand Miller with all the tantrums and giveaways and moping 3 years ago. Didn't care he was point per game player and almost 100 year before.
Last year totally re-shaped my opinion of him. Kept the tantrums in check, after a giveaway on the PP he would bury his head and skate back instead of throwing his arms in the air or waving at someone else and just coast to bench. He showed leadership on ice by setting example. I was really surprised he did such a 180 and gave him credit.
This year it's back to that same guy from before, but maybe even a little worse. Quitting on plays all the time, quitting on the team. It's like someone told him to get his act together and he just went full baby mode in a different way by shutting down. I don't buy the 'cares too much' schtick and can only play one way either. He's a 31 year old professional that calls himself a leader, he should be able to show passion without being an a$$hole. |
