Oh really so it's beginning to be an issue I was wondering. I only took it a couple of times in the evening so I was fine.

Could Demidov come play if his team is eliminated from the playoffs this year?

- Fredo

It's only an issue on tuesdays and wednesdays since not that many people work from home on these specific days, usually.

But it was bound to happen really, everyone that was taking the bus near their homes to go to Montreal now have to take the REM, so they drive there. Sure, they could wait for a bus to take them to the REM or Home when they come back, it would likely add a good 30 minutes to their travel time, if not more.

Add to that the fact you're not supposed to park under the Dix30 to take the REM and you have an obvious lack of parking space combined with not enough public transportation to make it viable.

But, again, only two days a week... which isn't that bad I guess.

Think they'll make it all pay to park in the near future?

Well there lies another issue.

There would be plenty of available space at the Brossard station but they've got around 800 paying spots available.

These places never get filled, not even close. At best 1/5 of them are used.

People already have to pay over 100$ a month to use the REM to go to work, they don't wanna add another 8$ per day to (frank)ing park.

Make all the spots free and the parking issues will go away.

Isn't the whole point to encourage people to take public transportation?

Well it's a complicated balance if it's free everybody takes their car and the parking lots get full fast. Ideally you want a price that will make people who can go intermodal take the bus yet not penalize people where intermodal is not an option too much.

I don't know Fred, seems to me like people are taking their cars anyway.

Asking them to pay for parking doesn't sound like the solution to me. Or at least let people combine it with their monthly access for a very cheap price if they wanna buy a peace of mind as Waterboy suggested.

Yeah, for regular folks, give them parking space with their pass (all bundled together, discounted parking).

For occasional users, there are a few free spots or they pay the parking fee.

Seems more than reasonable.

Hopefully the next government can be bold and invest poop loads in transport en commun. More rem lines, more subway lines, more rapid bus lanes.

People will keep on using their cars as long as public transportation is terrible

This.

Let's just say we have better odds of it happening when the CAQ gets the (frank) out.

Yup

This sort of investment/ debt is positive.

Looking at Laval with its 3 stations….only the people living. Condos above the stations have acces.

Lack of vision.

I would add a rem line to saint Jérôme or even as far as saint sauveur.

GF is adding multiple destinations to one of the biggest countries in the world... I have to either fit it "in" or explain to her that we can't afford a private jet

even if he played well or if he played poorly for that 2nd start, it doesn't mean anything, it's still a sample size of only 6 games.

I think it's the right call to send Monty back in there.

Dobes will get his games, he'll start with playing 1/3 games and climb up from there if performances justify it.

Just curious to see how he would’ve done playing tonight.
