Slight whispers we asked about Miller, Pettersson, and Hoglander during discussions for Pettersson. I think this was more so when we were winning though lol. They also asked about Rakell and Bunting. - 123Kid
Yeah, I'm sure every team check in, but we aren't getting one of the big guys.
I do think that if Vancouver does trade JT, Bunting becomes a guy they could really want to add back some of that sandpaper.
I'm imagining something like Bunting & Pettersson 1/2 ret for Hogs, Descharnais & some picks is going to happen. Hopefully the picks being 2025 1st and a 2026 2nd. I think that would make sense for both sides. |

Before the draft next season I'd like to see:
1. Bunting and Pettersson traded for picks.
2. Gryz re-signed for 2 years ( shocked I'm saying this!).
3. Jarry bought out.
Bonus - I'm kind of impartial to this but I think a Karlsson trade is going to be coming, whether this season or the off-season. Carolina is probably the only team that could pull it off in season. Ottawa, Montreal, in the off-season.
I've liked Dubas drafting so get some draft picks, clear a bunch of cap space and then hire a GM before free agency! |

I'm hoping they get rid of Graves and Hayes as well. I agree with your list |

I can't believe it either, but yes on Gryz. I wouldn't buyout Jarry now. Leave him WB and hope he revives his career. Maybe trade him at some point with half retained. I don't want to pay him until 2030. I agree EK will be dealt at some point. |

I don't think it's possible to trade Graves. He's a sunk cost. |

His cap hit if bought out this summer:
25 - $1.75
26 - $5.05
27 - $4.55
28 - $.79
29 - $.79
30 - $.79
Trading 1/2 ret might make more sense but I'm not worried about the 28-30 penalty. His contract basically can't be bought out after this off-season, so there will be a short window to act. But you would think there will be a market for Jarry at 1/2 ret where we don't have to give up assets. |

We will probably have to attach a pick with him or trade for another change of scenery player. |

Unless Dubas plans on getting Marner or Rantenen, I don't think the cap will be an issue we'll be worrying about for the foreseeable future. I think 2 or 3 young guys will get roster spots next year. Maybe more. Those guys don't make anything. I could be wrong, but I think next year will be more of the same. Collecting assets. |

I would definitely try a change of scenery swap, but I wouldn't spend assets to move him. At least for now. |

I agree. Unfortunately those assets won’t have much of 87 left when they are able to contribute.
I feel a savvy gm could make a few moves and have a solid team. Maybe pick up marker or rant….who knows. I don’t know if dubas is capable of that though. Will his prospects from guetz crack a spot? What I read was maybe….assets are fine and all but eventually they need to turn into roster spots. And even do they can’t be players like doc, Simon etc… |

I don't even really want Jarry in WBS blocking Murashov. I wouldn't buy him out either so not sure what the solution is assuming they can't move him at half retained. Just stating that's a problem for me. |

On the bright side, neither Sullivan nor Dubas received a pardon |

The Ranger JT Miller rumors are interesting. Alexis Lafreniere, Zibanejad, and Schneider were discussed. It is going to be interesting. Lafreniere is an interesting piece since he is getting a big raise next season and hasn't played well this season. |

They are guilty of crimes lol. Last years PP and Ryan Graves contract come to mind. |

Same with keandre killer. I’d be trying to get him out of nyr. Young enough he could usher in the next group of Stanley cup champion pens defenceman. Would be like next gens Ryan Whitney. |

I am thinking with Rakell out this might be a good time for Beau to gain some trade value. |

If Hayes was a half step quicker, he would be so much more effective. Glad he got one though. |

I’m hoping so… saw some reports that a major change is incoming. Potentially fire sale.
EK65 is available and he has been playing his best hockey the past two weeks. Has an apple already today. |

I can see Beau being useful to someone. His knock use to be his cap hit. Last night he played well in his role. Hopefully he can net us a 3rd |

Inside circles saying Bunting, Hayes, Karlsson, Graves, and Jarry have been named that they are pushing. Outside of the normal players on the last year of their deals.
I'm hoping some of our other insiders could come by and shed some additional info on what they are hearing. |

I don’t mind selling high on Rakell… any news on why he is out? Hope he and his are ok. |
