Carolina and NJ make more sense in a potential trade for JTM rather than NYR.

I'm hoping Carolina. They have plenty of nice pieces.

- dbot

Dallas have some interesting pieces: Wyatt Johnston would be the main target (but he aint going nowhere) followed by Harley (doubt it) then Mav Bourque (maybe)
AHL = Lian Bichsel(D), Strangles(C), Hryckowian(C)

New Jersey - starts with Mercer. Ends with Seigenthaler or Nemec, Silayev

'Regardless of how bad things are with JT Miller right now, and the drama surrounding him, you don't give away this asset for nothing... You know, he has played a lot of hard hockey over the course of the last 18 months... Don't trade him for a first-rounder.'
'Even if you don't make playoffs this year, and he's not very good, and things fizzle out to the point where maybe he's not even with the team anymore, I don't think it'll get there, but how desperate are 10 to 15 teams in the league gonna be this summer at trying to get a first two line center?'

- Paul Bissonnette

My take as well. If no team steps up big before the TDL.

In season I’d agree less on the return. That only changes if a team covets adding JTM maybe. Canes are tight when trading. NJD has a very open window after plugging the hole in net. NYR is just low balling imo. PA has to let it marinade more if the right offer is to come. There is no reason to be impatient.

“Set to skate in his 400th career game with the @Canucks organization when they face the Sabres tonight, J.T. Miller will become the 42nd player to play that many with VAN. Of those 42, his point total ranks as the 2nd highest on this franchise list of offensively productive names”

Miller isn't a great fit for the Rags tbh.
- dbot

Plus its important to keep in mind his historically bad attitude thats apparently followed him around to a whopping 3 teams in 13 years! and his "problem child" moniker thats SO BAD that the Rangers want him back on their team....there goes that narrative!

Therein lies his true value. Some here are far to obtuse to get over their petty bs. Cup runs needs warriors & he is built & plays like like one. Cast aside all the distractions & see with open eyes when he is gone the hole will be bigger for what most fans scream for what they want.

Then don't trade him...simple. Theres no gun to anybodys head. The supposed "incident" happened over 9 weeks ago and theyve all been living in harmony since.

Why are we offloading a 1C and expecting peanuts in return? And why is anybody ok with that?

Let him and Tocc continue to suffer together I guess

Impressive ... maybe a 13 point night to take the top spot!?

In all seriousness though, that is his true past value to the franchise. I don't doubt he has several good seasons to give to a team, but teams have rarely made a fair value trade when their backs are to the wall with a situation.

All of this liking Miller or not is media/fan driven & no GM should listen to it or react to it to make a trade for the sake of a trade. Any moron can or wish to do that. On the ice when he’s himself he’s a beast & anyone not looking at that 1stly is deluded.

Good on the dot.
Can shutdown top players.
Can score big goals.
Makes the PP better.

If he exercised better control & the timing of his emotions we’d not be talking about trading him. Now he’s gone from a top performer to getting run outta town.

Only Don has made a good case for Miller others call me a fanboy. I doubt Don’s gaf meter cares & mine certainly does not.

I do as well lol

JTM is a lightning rod it’s his passion to win that is both strength & weakness. Fickle fans luv him then hate him.

100%

Face the adversity & be stronger for it if they work it out. Trading Miller will be a set back before it ever would be a step forward. Humouring idiot fans is never a way to do business. Time heals all wounds if the goal is winning. Crest on the front not name on the back. All of the rest is bs distractions if players just come to the arena & put it all on the ice. Time to rally around each other again.

And no, definitely not shutting the fawk up.

Agree & why shopping Miller is fine but only for the right return. If not then ride out the season & let the players & coaches sort it out. There is no need to panic if looking at the big picture.

He’s a miserable stick in the mud. Specializes in emojis & gang banging & insults. Low class & the inability to articulate in a proper civil conversation.

“LeBrun also adds the Canucks have relented a bit on not wanting to make a futures deal, especially with teams like Carolina and New Jersey who want to win now and would not want to trade away from their core.“

We’ve had Kesler Burrows & now JTM amongst others going a ways back.

What they all have in common is other teams hated to play against them. Each one of these players is front & center to being a good PO team. All teams want & need them. Each one of them drove the team to success as far as they could take them.

When did fans lose this fact? Well soft headed fans rather choose popularity due to their own petsonal mental weaknesses. Being different standing out as does Miller doesn’t fit that mould. Fans know crap in general but plenty to say.

Anyone ever play any competitive sport with a-hole teammate or hot head & didn’t put winning ahead of personal bs?

Pro sport isn’t a luv in & kumbaya party.

Both teams have decent prospects, which i'd be happy with
Seamus Casey, Simon Nemec, Scott Morrow, etc.
