We’ve had Kesler Burrows & now JTM amongst others going a ways back.

What they all have in common is other teams hated to play against them. Each one of these players is front & center to being a good PO team. All teams want & need them. Each one of them drove the team to success as far as they could take them.

When did fans lose this fact? Well soft headed fans rather choose popularity due to their own petsonal mental weaknesses. Being different standing out as does Miller doesn’t fit that mould. Fans know crap in general but plenty to say.

Anyone ever play any competitive sport with a-hole teammate or hot head & didn’t put winning ahead of personal bs?

Pro sport isn’t a luv in & kumbaya party.

You do realise that fans don't get a say in whether a guy is traded/retained right?

The New Jersey Devils and Carolina Hurricanes are among the teams engaging in discussions with the Vancouver Canucks about forward J.T. Miller, reports TSN's Pierre LeBrun.

The Canucks once wanted immediate help in a return for Miller, but the club is now open to the idea of packages headlined by future assets, LeBrun added.

Miller's contract contains a full no-movement clause, and while he reportedly hasn't provided the Canucks with a formal list of teams he'd waive for, there's an understanding of the type of team that would make sense.

The 31-year-old was reportedly almost traded to the New York Rangers on Saturday in a deal that included Filip Chytil, Ryan Lindgren, and a first-round pick, but disagreement over the protection structure of the first-rounder proved to be a hurdle in negotiations.

Miller has recorded eight goals and 23 assists in 35 games this season - a drop in production after averaging 95 points per year over the last three campaigns. He's signed through 2029-30 with an $8-million cap hit.

The Canucks reportedly explored the trade market for Miller and Elias Pettersson amid a riff between the two star centers. However, Pettersson apparently told Vancouver he'd like to stay, and the club's preference is to keep the 26-year-old.

The Hurricanes and Devils are both viewed as legitimate contenders, sitting second and third, respectively, in the Metropolitan Division entering Tuesday's games. New Jersey, in particular, could use an additional offensive punch, as it sits 15th in the league in goals per game.

“LeBrun also adds the Canucks have relented a bit on not wanting to make a futures deal, especially with teams like Carolina and New Jersey who want to win now and would not want to trade away from their core.“

NJ do not have permission to talk to miller….probably not an option. Also, Scott Morrow sucks on another note. Sick of hearing about him

Dallas have some interesting pieces: Wyatt Johnston would be the main target (but he aint going nowhere) followed by Harley (doubt it) then Mav Bourque (maybe)
AHL = Lian Bichsel(D), Strangles(C), Hryckowian(C)

New Jersey - starts with Mercer. Ends with Seigenthaler or Nemec, Silayev

lol. You’re not getting those returns. Deal with it.

It won’t matter if I like it or not. When or if it happens that'll be a huge discussion that is sure to go on for a long time.

Rodrigo Abols making his NHL debut tonight for the Flyers, he’s 29, another great pick from Benning’s 2016 draft.

He’s actually not playing too bad.

Management won’t trade miller for peanuts, if they have to wait till the summer so be it is what I’m getting from them.

Same feel for me also. I do believe they want to trade him & move on. Don’t see PA just taking the best offer rather he wants at least one good piece & another key piece. Add ons idk.

Just watching a bit of the Washington game.

Tom Wilson is having a heckuva season.

I remember suggesting him in a trade in the offseason and had my head bitten off.
Dude's a beast and i'd love him or someone like him on the Canucks.

He has something like 9 or 10 PP goals, yes, having a great season. He, or a player like him, is definitely what the Canucks need.
